How To Get the Best Hotels at the Cheapest Rates in the Disneyland Area

Everyone’s heard of Priceline.com and their ‘Name Your Own Price’ option. I’ve used it successfully for the past 2 years after hearing about it from a close friend of mine who has been a DL AP for over 20 years. Every time I use it I get either the Marriott Anaheim Suites (and yes you get a 2 room suite) or the Crowne Plaza. There is 1 catch with these 2 hotels – a $12 per day resort fee. The Crowne Plaza automatically charges it to everyone but you get free internet/wifi in your room and a free shuttle to and from Disneyland. The Marriott Suites only charges the fee if you tell them you are parking your car on property. If you stay at the Marriott, you will be charged for internet/wifi access if you use is and you can take the Anaheim Resort Transit to and from Disneyland for a few dollars.

Other hotels that have come up for my friends have been the Doubletree, the Anaheim Marriott, the Anaheim Hilton, and the Sheraton. I haven’t had that happen to me yet so I can’t say what additional fees they might charge.

Now here’s a step-by-step on how to use the Priceline feature so you don’t mess up.

1. Go to Priceline.com. On the main page click ‘Hotel’

2. Scroll down to where it says ‘Name Your Own Price for Hotels’

3. In the ‘City’ bar enter ‘Disneyland’

4. Select your check in and check out dates and how many rooms you want

5. Click ‘Bid Now’

6. It will open a new screen that says ‘Please Help Us With a Little More Information’

7. Under ‘Select a City’ choose ‘Disney Land – Anaheim, California, United States’

8. Click ‘Next’

9. Now you’re at a screen that says ‘Step 1: Choose Where You Want To Stay’

10. Select option 5 ‘Disneyland – Anaheim’. This area is the Good Neighbor Hotel Area of the Disneyland Resort

11. Scroll down and you will see ‘Step 2: Choose the Star Level for your hotel’

12. Select ‘3 ½ Star – Upscale Plus’

13. Now comes ‘Step 3: Name Your Own Price’

14. Here’s the trick. Just enter ‘50’. That’s it – 50 bucks a night is all I ever pay for top notch hotels Disneyland.

15. Now scroll down and enter your First and Last name and click ‘Next’

16. The next screen shows a review of your request. It shows how much you ‘bid’ per night plus the taxes and fees (roughly $13 a day) and a total for your stay. It gives you the option of buying Cancellation Insurance for $5 per night of your stay in case you can’t make it or need to leave during your stay. Keep in mind, once you book a hotel room this way, IT IS NON-REFUNDABLE and the dates can’t be changed. There are some other terms and conditions to review.

17. If you are sure you can make these dates and want to book a room, initial in the box and click ‘Next’

18. The next screen is the billing screen. Enter your billing information as it appears on your credit card statement. Enter and re-enter your email address and then Uncheck the box underneath your email address that says ‘Yes Send me updates’. I recommend this because we all hate spam email.

19. Now enter your credit card info. Don’t worry, the info is safe (we are talking about Priceline and not some hack site). Your card is not charged, authorized, or placed on hold. The only way the card gets charged is if your bid is accepted.

***** Ok now here’s where everybody freaks out. “What if my bid isn’t accepted? I thought you said I could get a room for $50 a night?” I never said you would be guaranteed a room at $50 a night I just said I’ve never paid more than $50 a night. My friend that uses this option about 6 times a year has never paid more than $60 a night and that was in July of 2005 DURING the 50th Anniversary week. Depending on the time of year and what is going on, the acceptable pricing fluctuates a little.*****

20. You DO NOT have to register with Priceline or create an account that is OPTIONAL.

21. Now is the moment of truth. If you click ‘Buy My Hotel Room Now’ and your bid is accepted, your card is immediately charged and your room is booked. It states both HERE and ON THE PAGE – PLEASE REMEMBER, ONCE YOU CLICK “Buy My Hotel Room” YOUR REQUEST CANNOT BE CHANGED, CANCELLED, OR TRANSFERRED AND REFUNDS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Don’t say you weren’t informed in advance.

22. If you click to buy the room, Priceline will take you to a wait screen while it ‘processes’ your request.

23. If your bid is successful, you will see a screen congratulating you on a successful bid and it will have the details of which hotel you will be staying at – Name, etc. Congratulations to you on saving some serious money and getting to stay at a really nice hotel. I hope you enjoy it.

24. If your bid is NOT successful you have 2 options:

a. Option 1 – Wait 24 to 48 hours (I believe it’s only 24 but I haven’t had a bid fail in a while so I’ve forgotten) and use the same email address and credit card to bid again.

b. Option 2 – Use a DIFFERENT email address AND a different credit card and bid again right now.

25. If your bid has failed (and sometimes they do) increase it by $5 a night. So a $50 bid becomes $55.

There you guys go. That’s the best tip I can give on how to save money and get a good room at a good hotel. At the time I wrote this, my last stay was at the Marriott Suites from December 18th to December 21st 2009. I paid $45 a night plus fees. I also included a copy of my receipt for that stay to MW so you guys know I’m not just blowing smoke.

OK Admin. That’s my tip/secret on how I can be an AP living in Phoenix, AZ and make several trips a year to Disneyland affordable. If you want me to re-write anything or if I can give this to you in another format, please let me know. I’m attaching my last trip receipt/itinerary so you can confirm that I really did only pay $45 a night at the Marriott Suites. I am also including a direct link to the receipt on Priceline so you can see I didn’t fake anything either.

Toy Story Midway Mania Tips

Thanks to MouseWaiter and resident Toy Story expert “BCC” – we have tons of great tips for you today about how to increase your score and impress your friends on the Toy Story Midway Mania ride in California Adventure. He scores over 500,000 every time so he knows what he is talking about. Check out this video of him in action:

And here are the tips direct from BCC:

If you are an advanced maniac, you must sit by yourself:

Hamm and Eggs: Hit the gophers on the bottom and combine that with the fox on the hen house. Then, hit the two pigs on the fence to reveal a cat and hit that. It could pop up in the middle or close to the barn. The point value for the cat goes to 500,1000,2000,2000,2000. At the end of this game, your ideal score is 51,200.

Balloon Pop: Hit the 500’s at the bottom and the 1000 lamb in the middle of the screen. To make the balloons respawn, hit one of the green or blue 100 point lambs. Now, for the two rainclouds, clear 4 on each side and leave one remaining. Then take a breath, shoot one and QUICKLY pivot to the other. You only have half a second to hit the other one. If successful, 2000 point balloons will rain! An ideal game score is around 60,100. A good score is 72,100.

Army Men plates: Hit the plates all over the screen. Two 2000 point plates will pop up on both sides of the horizon. Aim at the horizon line for one plate, then when you hit it, quickly pivot to the other side. Once this is done, the mountain will descend and 4 2000 point plates will jump up in succession. Sort of like a wave. After this is done, hit all the plates and the plate that the tank throws at you. You should accumulate at least 80,000.

Ring Toss: Crunch time: Before the game starts, start pulling as fast as you can and make sure you aim at the aliens in the rocket. This will require practice. If an alien pops back up from the ship, it’s over. But, if you hit the secret, the rocket will fly up and will reveal a gigantobot. It will pop up with 100,500,1000 and 2000. Try not to shoot inside the 100 point range. While the mouth is closed, hit the bottom targets on your screen. Planets, rockets, jetpacks and the 5000 point alien. Ideal score should be 115,000. A great score would be 130,000. It is possible to hit 144,000.

Bullseye: It is possible to unlock the secret by yourself. I recommend clearing the middle first, then the bottom gopher, then the two buildings, then the barrel, then the remainders. This will require practice also. Your ideal score should be 52,000. A great score would be 60,000+ In the end, your score should be 300,000+ Side Scrolling: Hit the two 500’s, it will reveal a 2000. repeat as you are scrolling across. Mine carts: Hit all the mine carts. Keep the pivot movement slow and fire rapidly. But make sure your gun stays on the same horizontal axis and don’t move it vertically. Then, the huge target will pop up…rapid fire! After all that mania is over, hopefully you hit 500,000.

Only 4 people have broken this mark and 3 of them can maintain it. Will you join our ranks?

Thanks BCC! You can also follow BCC on twitter @BCC4321

MouseWait Becomes The Highest Rated Disneyland App In The History of the iPhone App Store

This is from a recent MouseWait press release – special thanks goes to the MouseWait community, we couldn’t do it without you!

It took only two months for MouseWait, the first social Disneyland iPhone wait time app, to become the highest rated Disneyland app in the history of the app store.

This happened after the recent release of MouseWait 1.5 – which is a total redesign that includes full Facebook and Twitter integration, and a lot more. The creators of MouseWait, app316.com, put so many features into MouseWait 1.5 that some can’t believe it is still a 100% free app – which is evident by the overwhelming written reviews. MouseWait has the most five star ratings of any Disneyland iPhone application and also has the highest overall rating.

One of the biggest additions to MouseWait is a brand-new behind the scenes technology called MouseRank® which leverages user authority to generate accurate wait times. MouseRank® mixed with the existing and ever-evolving complex server-side algorithm has the ability to revolutionize wait times by scientifically mixing hundreds of separate factors at one time. In fact the combination of MouseRank® and a fine tuned algorithm has the potential of reporting the most accurate wait times available from any service.

A patent for MouseRank® was filed earlier this year.

Kelly Johns, who started development on MouseWait when the app store officially launched in 2008, credits the success of MouseWait to the amazing community of loyal iPhone and Disneyland fans. “The credit goes to the overwhelming number of people who use MouseWait on a daily basis. We just developed a mobile gateway for them so they could experience Disneyland from all over the world and we try to listen and implement as many requests as possible.”

MouseWait is the first Disneyland iPhone app to fully integrate social networking giants Facebook and Twitter. People can post the current wait time of a ride directly to Twitter or Facebook. They can also update their own status on both networks directly from the app. MouseWait also utilizes FriendFeed, Flickr, Hahlo and even the new Google real-time search features. On the Facebook tab, you can click a button and see all of your Facebook friends who have MouseWait installed ( called your Disneyland Friends) – you can also check your newsfeed, access your Facebook phone list, see events, notifications, comment on your friends posts, and more.

Another major addition to MouseWait is the brand-new Hidden Mickey checklist which streams a large list of Hidden Mickeys for the user to check off as they find them. MouseWait keeps track of which ones you have found. This was a highly requested feature from the MouseWait community and was added based on user feedback.

Johns says that MouseWait 2.0 is already in the works and a majority of the upgrade was completed months ago. app316.com is anticipating a January release for 2.0. The new version will include several new innovations that have never been attempted before and he believes the MouseWait community will be pleasantly surprised.

This Growing Disneyland Database Is Searchable From Your iPhone!

Did you know that you can easily search our Disneyland database on your iPhone by simply clicking on the search button on the top right. This makes a search bar magically appear at the top of the page, then simply search for anything you are interested in, whether it is Toy Story, food, or whatever else you need.

You can also search by tags. Simply click on the tab on the right side above the search button ( it has a down arrow on it) and a nice little menu will drop down where you can easily jump to pages, search by tags, or search by categories. The awesome part about this is searching by tags, just click on the tags button and a nice list of Disneyland related tags will drop down. Then just select what you’re interested in and related posts will come up.

The search feature and the tag feature is a great way to find what you are looking for — whether you need help with a MouseWait feature, or if you’re searching for Disneyland secrets or tips on a certain subject (search for Tom Sawyer or iPhone Charging for example).

MouseWait 1.5 – MAJOR UPGRADE – Introducing MouseRank®

If you are excited to hear about the new release and just want to get the new version in the app store go here and download MouseWait 1.5 – its FREE!

This is a major upgrade that includes fixes and brand new features.

Probably the biggest addition is the behind the scenes technology we installed – the release of our patent-pending technology called MouseRank® – which leverages user authority to create accurate wait times. This is something that has never been attempted in the wait time world, and it will revolutionize wait times because they will become extremely accurate when you mix our proprietary MouseRank® technology, with our complex server-side algorithm. A patent was filed earlier this year for MouseRank technology.

Anyway, enough with the techno-jargon – here is what we packed into MouseWait 1.5

  • Facebook Connect issue solved, now you can login and use Facebook
  • A real Hidden Mickey Checklist added! – Now you can check off and save the Hidden Mickey checklist!
  • New MouseWait Dashboard! Makes it easy to find the most popular features of MouseWait
  • MouseRank technology added (introduces user authority for the first time ever in a wait time app)
  • Post to Twitter – in this version you can sign in to your Twitter account and post updates directly from MouseWait
  • You can also post wait time messages direct to Twitter (and Facebook)
  • Live streaming Google weather loaded directly on to the Dashboard!
  • Live update boxes located directly on the Dashboard bring you the latest news about Disneyland
  • Hahlo 4 Twitter client added to the Twitter page so you can manage your entire Twitter account while inside of MouseWait
  • Improved Resources page layout and speed enhancements

Just click on the MouseRank tab and enter your username, it is that easy – we are tracking points based on accurate wait time submissions, participation in the Live Chat Lounge, and several other factors. Bottom line is that the more you positively contribute to the MouseWait community, the higher your MouseRank® will be. We will be having contests and other cool things too for MouseRank Authority Users.

Stay tuned, the fun has only just begun, lots more in store (things that we finished months ago and haven’t been released) – our goal is to make the MouseWait user experience better and better each day! MouseWait is the first Disneyand iPhone app to ever give this much away for free.  Enjoy!

EXCLUSIVE Disneyland & California Adventure iPhone Charging Stations

MouseWait user @abefromen was nice enough to post some great places in the parks where you could charge your iPhone (which is always an issue at Disneyland, especially when you are working your iPhone overtime). He said it would be cool if everyone joined in and tried to find these hard to locate electrical outlets so that we would end up with a lot of different places where we can charge our iPhones in the park.

Well, that is what we have done – or at least started. Thanks to the fasting growing Disneyland iPhone community in the world (the MouseWait community), we have been able to find a lot of great places to charge your phone, most of it came via our MouseWait Live Chat Lounge which has a lot of amazing people in it each day.

Here they are, PLEASE add yours below so we can make this list huge!

The other option is to get the Kensington Battery – I use this at the park all the time and it doubles the life of my battery so my iPhone can last me an entire day at Disneyland while maxing out the camera, video, 3G and more!

DISNEYLAND

  • In front of the Photo Shop on Main Street. If you are looking directly at the entrance, look on the wall to your right and you will see an outlet with a cover on it.
  • The Snow White Wishing Well – with your back to the well, face towards the Castle and it is in the bushes next to the railing – 2 outlets in a green camouflaged box.
  • Carnation Plaza (the dance floor in between the Castle and Frontierland) there is a box on the stage and behind it is an outlet (thanks to MouseWait user @disneylove for this clarification)
  • Space Mountain exit:  There is an outlet right outside of the cast member entrance near the exit area of Space Mountain and the bathrooms
  • In Critter Country, there is an outlet just outside the back door of Pooh Corner gift shop (thanks to a comment from Cindy below)
  • There is an outlet in Frontier Land in the small character plaza outside the Rancho del Zocalo exit. It is on the right side behind the little fence (thanks to Cindy)
  • The second level of the Golden Horseshoe Saloon is littered with outlets, especially next to the performers booths (thanks to B Smith)
  • Toon Town train station – this one is near the benches, you can sit and charge!

CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE

  • Eat and let your phone charge! Head over to the Bay Area (next to Paradise Pier) look for an old stage where the bands used to play. If you are looking at the stage it is on your right and you can eat and let your phone charge!
  • There are a few outlets by the bathrooms that are at the entrance
  • Burger Invasion
  • Next to the store across from Soarin’ Over California, there are payphones, there are outlets there.
  • Near the bathroom entrance in the Hollywood Backlot (the bathrooms near Playhouse Disney).
  • The restroom corridor behind the King Triton Carousel

Add your charging station find below so our iPhones never run out of juice at the park!

Annual Passholder Tips

See our discount tabs on the Annual Passholder page in MouseWait to take advantage of all the benefits of your annual pass.  Please comment below and let us know about your annual passholder tips!

  • Photopass TIP (Updated Nov 24): Instead of buying individual pictures, buy the CD – they put all of your pictures on one disk for one price (I think it is $59 at this time) – this is a great deal because you can put an UNLIMITED amount of pictures on one disk! The Photopass card is good for 30 days, so if you are an Annual Passholder, you can load as many pictures on there as you want for 30 days, then put them all on one disk for one price! I also heard that if you wait for around 25 days to login to the Photopass site to see your pictures, you get an additional 30 days to load the card up! Great deal and the Disneyland photographers are the best! Here is a great tip from Christi, a former Photopass Cast Member: ” I was a Photopass CM and the CD is the way to go. The trick with logging on to the website works sometimes, but don’t count on it. After you log on you will get emails telling you when your photos are about to expire.

Two tips: 1. Use a sharpie and write your name on your card. Make sure you get YOUR card back from the photographer. They do get switched every once in a while. 2. Make a record of your card number and keep it somewhere separate from your card. If you lose your card or wallet, the CM can punch in the number manually.

  • NO DOWN PAYMENT – if you renew your pass before it expires, you don’t have to pay the $75 down payment with the new payment plan option! You also still get a discount for renewing before your expiration date (on Premium and Deluxe only you save $20).
  • Don’t try to get your way by saying you are an Annual Passholder – it doesn’t work! Just be nice and pray you get the right Cast Member to help.
  • Hotel Discounts: Once a year they send out AP discounts for the hotels, but if you call, sometimes you can still get good discounts with your pass, never hurts to ask.
  • If you forget your pass when you get to the park, they will usually give you a temporary pass – but I think they will only do it once.
  • These days, Disney gives Annual Passholders discounts on just about everything, go to our Discount tabs in MouseWait to see which stores accept it. If you are unsure, just ask wherever you are buying something whether you are in the parks or Downtown Disney, most vendors will give you a discount.
  • AAA Discounts: There are a few places, like the Plaza Inn (great chicken dinner!) that will give you a discount for AAA. If you know of more please post below!

We just started this page, so we will add more – check back soon!

Disneyland Secrets & Tips

Here is a list of Disneyland Secrets you can impress your friends with while you are at the park. If you have an iPhone – you can access this list INSIDE of the MouseWait iPhone app – download it for FREE here! Feel free to comment below to add your own secrets – or lets us know if you think these are not true! We are adding to this list daily. PLEASE COMMENT BELOW!

  • UPDATED NOV 3rd- Free Coffee Refills:  The Market House on Main Street (on the right side as you are walking in) is the only place where you can get refills on coffee in the park. The cost is $2.79 per cup AND we found out that this is the only coffee shop in the park that makes a special “Disney Brew” that is top secret and supposed to be really good! We got this info from a Cast Member on November 3rd, so it is recent information. Make sure to keep your reciept.
  • markethouse

  • The Plaza Inn is one of the best food deals in Disneyland – their full fried chicken dinner is awesome and it is only $13.49 (that is how much an omelette costs across the street at IHOP if you can believe that). The Cast Members are always super friendly here, it has tons of seating, and the Christmas decorations are awesome. Also, you can get unlimited refills on drinks there (self-serve) and they will even give you to go cups when you are done. We go here all the time and use our Annual Passholder discount – the corn dog cart is next door for the kids!
  • Photopass TIP (Updated Nov 12): Instead of buying individual pictures, buy the CD – they put all of your pictures on one disk for one price (I think it is $59 at this time) – this is a great deal because you can put an UNLIMITED amount of pictures on one disk!
  • Nursing mother rooms: Did you know that at the end of Main Street on the right side next to the Little Red Wagon Corn Dog Cart, Disneyland has a nursing mother’s room called the Baby Care center that has a dark quiet room with rocking chairs, a feeding area with high chairs cleaned after every use, a changing room with multiple changing stations that are cleaned and sanitized after every use, and mini potty chairs for toddlers that are sanitized after every use. It is really an amazing setup.
  • Did you know you can get WIFI inside of California Adventure (great for iPod Touch users)? Just sit in one of the inlets across from the Rushin’ River Outfitters and you can get on to the Grand Californian Wifi – it has a very strong signal, I was still connected walking all the way down past the Redwook Creek Challenge Trail. The key is to stay close to the hotel and you should be able to stay online.

  • BALLOONS AND SOUVENIRS REPLACED: Also, if you buy a balloon and it pops or is damaged, any vendor will give you a free balloon (they should since they cost $12!) – we do know this is true because they replaced one of our balloons less than a month ago. Also, they usually will replace any souvenir that breaks – my son has broken many pirate swords while we were at the park. We just take the broken one in and they always replace it for us.
  • There is a Magic Lamp in a store across from the Jungle Cruise – for a buck you can rub the lamp and hear funny jokes
  • The Goofy Water in Toon Town (at the gas station) turns colors at night.
  • The Matterhorn basketball court:  Some say that in an effort to pass a city ordinance, Disney had to install a full court basketball court inside Matterhorn mountain so it qualified as a sports facility.  Some even say it was certified as an official Olympic Stadium in 1984. According to Snopes, this is not true. They say there is only a small attic-like space near the top of the Matterhorn that does contain a half court complete with a hoop. This area is used as a rest area for costumed climbers.
  • Tom Sawyer’s Island actually has a Missouri zip code.
  • Call Disneyland and get a live person: Did you know that you can call and get a live person at this number 714-781-4565
  • Main Street is supposed to be set in 1910 and Tomorrowland is set for 1986. These years were picked because they were the years of Hailey’s Comet
  • Prior to opening day, Walt visited a few of the local churches and invited a handful of the best behaved children from the Sunday School classes to attend the opening day festivities (source HiddenMickeys.org)
  • Did you know you can ride in the front car of the monorail if you ask?
  • Did you know you can ride in the front of the Disneyland train with the conductor too? (tip thanks to MickeyFan below)
  • CAT HOUSES: Reportedly there are cat houses in Disneyland, one is behind the Hungry Bear restaurant and you can see them if you look to the right while on the train.
  • Disneyland vendors will replace broken spray bottles, broken swords, pretty much anything you buy there, if it breaks, they will give you a new one.
  • Everyone knows that Walt Disney had an apartment located above the Fire Station next to City Hall. The light in that apartment is always left on to remind everyone he is always there with him. However, this light is turned off when his daughters are in the park, out of respect for their loss. (Source: FindingMickey.com)
  • Club 33 has been a part of New Orleans Square since 1967, it is the only place where alcohol is served and it supposedly has a 5 year waiting list for memberships. Membership fees range from $9500 to $25000 with annual fees of $3000+!
  • The organ that was in 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea is presently located in the ballroom of the Haunted Mansion
  • Johnny Depp frequently stays at the Grand Californian Hotel, some say here is there once every two months with his family.
  • Smellitzers on Main Street: Candy Palace & Candy Kitchen – Main Street USA: A photo of the Candy Kitchen Cast Members hard at work. Under the window is a vent that sends the wonderful candy aromas out onto Main Street. Note: Invented at Walt Disney World by Imagineer Bob McCarthy, the Smellitzer, is akin to the famed artillery howitzer - used to launch smells instead of shells. (Courtesy of FindingMickey.com)
  • Tarzan’s Treehouse: Take a good look around the kitchen area underneath Tarzan’s Treehouse. Mrs. Potts and Chip, from Beauty & the Beast, can be sitting on top of a wooden crate. (Source: FindingMickey.com)
  • Raiders of the Lost Ark Mercedes Truck: Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye: An interesting Disney detail is parked outside of the Indiana Jones attraction. The olive green truck appears to be the one from the famous Raiders of the Lost Ark chase scene, in which Indy chases after the Nazi convoy transporting the Ark of the Covenant. The truck’s body type, license plate and missing hood ornament, match features from the vehicle used in the famous Raiders of the Lost Ark stunt sequence. (Source: FindingMickey.com)
  • Go to Toon Town right when the park opens, it isn’t as busy then.
  • Eeyore Parking Sign in the Indiana Jones Ride: An old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot, which gave way to the current Indiana Jones attraction. (Source: FindingMickey.com)
  • Forced Perspective: Disneyland is famous for using a photographic illusion called “forced perspective”. This gives the buildings on Main Street the illusion of height. The second story windows, signs, and accessories of the buildings on Main Street are smaller than the first level. Also the buildings angle slightly inward which creates the illusion that the Castle is much farther than it actually is. When you leave Disneyland the reverse effect happens – it doesn’t look that far away so you tend to want to walk slower and visit the shops. The Matterhorn is also designed using forced perspective – larger trees are placed toward the bottom, but as you go up, the trees get smaller. Disney used two foot pinion trees at the treeline of the Matterhorn to make it look bigger than it actually is (it is only 147 feet).
  • Lines are usually shorter at dinner time when people are eating.
  • On your Fastpass ticket, it tells you when you can get another Fastpass, always get Fastpasses as soon as you are eligible. Fastpasses are good FOR ANY TIME after the time printed after the ticket.
  • Start from Adventureland and go clockwise: This saves time because you are not criss-crossing throughout the park and most people seem to go counterclock-wise starting with Tomorrowland. (Source: DisneylandVacationTips.com)
  • The Matterhorn line that wraps around the Tomorrowland side is usually shorter. Also the left track is a faster ride than the right.
