#FOOD lunch at French Market. n'awlins salad: field greens, lentils, carrot slaw, cherries, and cadied pecans BOMB and more than enuf to share! and a side of mashed potatoes cuz i gotta carb it up! $12.93 with ap discount
I'm eating a salad right now that I got at boomers on Sunday. It's not so fresh, but the trick is to not look at it and when you feel something soggy just pretend it's dressing - Philliprocks577.7 #254 3-6-14 2:08PMLike(1)Reply
Well done on taking the healthy option. You've certainly got more discipline than I, as you could pay me $12.93 and I'd have to politely decline. Lol... Hope you have a fabulous weekend!! :D - RapunzelledColey25.8 #5284 3-8-14 12:49AMLikeReply

Looking for some good places to eat in the parks. I will be spending 5 days in the parks so I want to try some new food. Please let me know of your favorite DL and DCA food stops!
***SORRY long post, I clearly eat way too much at Disneyland lol, here's a menu link if you want to look at things yourself http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/menus.htm***Just sticking to counter service-esque places, DCA my favorite is Pacific Wharf Cafe. I eat there 90% of the time I'm eating at DCA lol. If you want some drinks and slightly pricier foods, Cove Bar is also really good. Disneyland is a bit tougher, I really like Hungry Bear (especially now that you can get regular fries), plaza inn, mozzarella sticks/chicken strips from Golden Horseshoe.Snack wise the best thing imo is the Cheddar Garlic Bagel Twist from Maurice's Treats in Fantasy Fair (Dland), and the Boysen Apple Freeze drink there is quite tasty as well. Any of the pretzels (Regular/Cream Cheese/Jalepeno) are good as well. Dessert/Sweet Treats theres a ton of great options. Soft serve in DCA, Ghiradelli/Clarabelle's and Gibson Girl for icecream, The pretzel rods/peanut butter chocolate sandwich/giant mickey cookies with chocolate covered ears (you'll know when you see them) are all excellent. Desserts at Jolly Holiday and the cupcake at Hungry Bear. Or if you want a really big dessert, Big Thunder Ranch BBQ has 10 dollar sharable brownie/cookie/cobbler things. For restaurant type places (reservations suggested) my favorite are Cafe Orleans and Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. hope this helped a bit! - dethrizu86.7 #3469 2-21-14 10:46AMLikeReply
Ohhhh I love when people ask about food! For quick snacks I love Dole whips, cheese filled pretzels (they sell pretzels at stands as well as coke corner and Bengal BBQ), churros are yum as are the garlic cheddar bagel twists dethrizu mentioned (but you gotta get them early or they get icky). If you are coming in the next month or so I highly recommend the seasonal cupcake found at jolly holiday or Starbucks in DCA. Plaza Inn fried chicken is always a win and a good value. We swear by Carnation cafe for the fried pickles and other goodies. Hungry bear has great fried green tomato sandwich and amazing onion rings. Cafe Orleans and Blue bayou are next to each other pomme frites from cafe Orleans and gumbo are so good (gumbo served at both locations). Blue bayou is most expensive in Disneyland but you eat inside the pirates of Caribbean ride. I would personally avoid pizza port and I wasn't a fan or tomorrowland terrace either. DCA I feel has better food options. The coconut chicken curry at lucky fortune cookery has been good. Pacific wharf bread bowls are a staple. Win country trattoria (sit down) is alright but the service can suck so be aware of that. They serve really good shrimp scampi. Paradise garden grill has Mediterranean skewers and platters. So much food for the money (similar to plaza inn with quantities). We tried Flos once but wasn't a huge fan (pasta salad was good though). Breakfast is supposed to be really good here. Cove bar is best for outdoor bar setting. Good drink and good food. Carthay circle is by far the best eatery in DCA. Everything is amazing there but you also pay quite a bit for it. Reservations are recommended for sit down locations like that and blue bayou. Outside of the theme parks themselves is the famous Napa Rose. This place is by far the MOST eclectic or the entire resort. Best food but most expensive too. Storytellers is amazing also. Its a combo of off the menu and buffet dining so you can choose. I swear by their chicken corn chowder. Both napa and storytellers are located in the grand. In DTD we LOVE earl of sandwich, Napoli, UVA bar and trader sams for drinks. Character breakfast dining is also very much worth it. We have done Goofys kitchen (located inside Disneyland hotel). The breakfast food is great and you get lots of character interactions. Hope this helps and sorry it's so long lol. - missmimi901196.5 #91 2-21-14 11:48AMLikeReply
All of these above are fantastic! I also really like Rancho del Zocalo. Great value. A must try for me next visit will have to be whitewater snacks! Every time someone posts those nachos, I crave them! - UndefinedEeyore105.8 #3201 2-21-14 11:56AMLikeReply
Also don't forget DTD for some really great dining options as well. - sawman911482.3 #332 2-21-14 11:59AMLikeReply

I think the gyro is new for the return to 'normal' menu. I miss my Kefta kabob, might have to get it this weekend. And yes, taboule is a herb salad, so it's serves cold. :) (my homemade taboule and falafel are amazing) - X-WingNikki628.9 #227 2-10-14 7:04PMLikeReply
