What do you like PlaidCM? I'm an avid reader and can probably recommend some good books. If you like the classics you can't go wrong with Jane Eyre. - dLittleMermaid44.2 #3873 1-18-11 6:33PMLike Reply
water for elephants is really good, it's tells the life of a man working in a circus in the 1930's, love triangle, murder, just an all around good read...the movie is just wrapped up, of course Harry potter and twilight are always good! - p8stryqueen162.4 #2119 1-18-11 6:45PMLike Reply
The Kite Runner! Fairest of All, if you're looking for something Disney related. - iFramedRogerRabbit1956.2 #36 1-18-11 6:48PMLike Reply
What genre do you like to read? I'm currently reading Philippa Gregory's books and I love them. It's historical fiction. She wrote The Other Boleyn Girl. She has sort of a series. You could start with The Constant Princess which is Queen Katherine and King Henry VIII and end with The Virgin's Lover which is the beginning reign of Queen Elizabeth I and Robert Dudley. - KissDclown1088.1 #76 1-18-11 7:26PMLike Reply
I really like the Stephanie Plum novels written by Janet Evanovich (well- the first 15 at least). They are a quick read and had me staying up all night to finish a book in one day. I have also enjoyed Philippa Gregory's books as KissDclown mentioned if you like that time period. I also like books by Meg Cabot (she wrote the Princess Diaries series but has adult books too). - LilSterner2656.0 #17 1-18-11 7:30PMLike Reply
The last book I could not put down was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The entire series was amazing! - dLittleMermaid44.2 #3873 1-18-11 7:37PMLike Reply

@Plaid - The Girl series is seriously one of the best writing I've read I'm years. It's about a magazine publisher that gets entangled in the mysterious disappearance of a wealthy families niece 40 years prior to the time of the novel. There is some violence so if that bothers you, it's probably not for you. - dLittleMermaid44.2 #3873 1-18-11 9:23PMLike Reply
The Girl series is are movies now too. They are Swedish with english subtitles, and not as good as the books. Some of my favorite classics include anything by Willa Cather or F Scott Fitzgerald. My Antonia and Tender is the Night are tow of my all time favs. I'll turn my text feature on if you have questions. Happy reading! - dLittleMermaid44.2 #3873 1-18-11 9:28PMLike Reply

I haven't read it yet but I've hear that "The Help" is excellent. I also really like Nicholas Sparks (more of his earlier novels) and Sophie Kinsella. If you liked Twilight, Stephanie Meyer wrote another book called "The Host". I own it but haven't read it yet. A friend of mine really likes books by Kristin Hannah also. - LilSterner2656.0 #17 1-18-11 9:36PMLike Reply

I think Clark's 2010 might be my all time fav. What's it about? It's about 300 pages. - Tom3809.9 #7 1-19-11 10:11AMLike Reply
Summer Knight is the toughest to get through because it sets up about three storylines for the rest of the series (So far). You've got time. Ghost doesn't come out until March 29th. I actually put together a Dresden costume for Halloween Costume last year. - IndyandMarion912.9 #1 1-19-11 10:11AMLike Reply
