What's your favorite bedtime story? It can be to read to your kids or from your childhood. I loved "are you my mother", "tacky the penguin" and tons of Dr. Seuss books

@Jerz: that's mine! My mom used to read it to me, now I read it to my niece when she cones over and spends the night (which is quite often). She LOVES that book. And it always makes me cry. When it says "I'm long as I'm living, my baby you'll be" I always touch her on the nose. One time a forgot, and she had me redo it and remember that part. - Amanda  120.4 #2733 2-7-11 10:21AM Like  Reply

I can't remember which picture books we used to read at night but I LOVED listening to chapter books like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Secret Garden, James and the Giant Peach. My son has loved Good Night Gorilla, Whoever You Are, How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night, the original Winnie the Pooh stories and ANYthing Dr. Seuss. I used to read chapter books when he was a baby but he always seemed to enjoy the picture books more. - Polkadobo  372.1 #371 2-7-11 7:57PM Like  Reply

OMG PeteandConnie I haven't thought about that book in so long. That was my daughter's favorite book when she was little. We read it so much she had it memorized before she knew how to read. Her favorite part was "Would you like to shake hands with thing one and thing two?". Thinking about this brings tears to my eyes because she's 27 now and this is a really great memory. - Hesatalkintome  26.8 #4530 2-7-11 8:07PM Like  Reply
