Kinda shocked at how little value school is getting. You need to decide what is more important to you. Why don't you explain the situation to WORK and not school and see if you can reschedule the tour. If it was me and the tour isn't on a scheduled test day I would decide it I'm ready for the exam or not. If i am then take a break from studying and go but then go home and review. If I'm not ready then I'd miss it and study. I personally put more value on school and a future career than one tour that once over gets me nothing but the right to say I've been. One gets me money. It can't hurt to ask your professor about taking it early, some are cool about it, but others aren't. I skipped something thinking, "it's only one final, I can take the class next semester" and it put me behind graduating 1 year. I could have been done in 3 1/2 years, but instead it took me almost 5 because of 1 stupid class. All I can say is think about how either will effect you. And how much it costs to take a class again. During year of a million dreams I actually skipped a final to stay in the park after closing (it was one of the prizes). However I called and talked to my professor. I explained how awesome of an opportunity it was and asked if it was possible for me to take my final at another time of her choosing. She let me, if she had said no I would have gone to class. I think honesty is the best policy and school is important. See if you can make both work. Tour Walt's apartmen is an opportunity, but I can tell you from experience, not having a college degree with a 3.0 GPA or above is one of the major reasons I cant find a job! This was never a problem for me before (I've been out in the workforce for over 15 yrs) thw economy has changed, employers are looking for higher education standards!
