My mom works at a goodneighbor hotel and heard Disneyland will be open 24 hours if needed for the opening of the two new rides to ensure everyone gets to ride them. Any truth to that???

Don't know how they will do it but all the hotels got a fax from Disney saying they will be keeping the park open until everyone has had a chance to ride the 2 new attractions. We'll see tomorrow how or what they will do. - MrsFELIXTHECAT  284.5 #721 6-2-11 10:28PM Like  Reply

I remember when they stayed open 72 hours for the opening of star tours. When you bought a ticket you were given a wrist band and could come and go and reenter anytime during the 72 hour period - rob2240  370.7 #385 6-2-11 10:50PM Like  Reply
The park CMs would have heard this by now due to scheduling. - Dahulagirl  1053.8 #83 6-2-11 10:53PM Like  Reply
Bump for a confirmation from our knowledgable MW CMs. - Sbubbles  159.2 #2199 6-2-11 11:31PM Like  Reply
Here's what makes sense in my head. If you get in line a few minutes before the park closes they will honor the line no matter how long it is. We used to ride X at Magic Mountain and leave the park 3 hours after it closed. As for the whole park being open 24 hours that doesn't make sense. They would lose lots of money. (I now end this nonsense rambling from my brain and return you to your own thoughts!) - MedievalMickey  696.1 #148 6-2-11 11:41PM Like  Reply
MM's makes the most sense...bump for CMs though :) - iDreamAboutDumbo  307.4 #586 6-2-11 11:51PM Like  Reply
Bump, even though I wouldn't be able to stick around the whole time. - craziemutant  109.6 #2954 6-3-11 12:09AM Like  Reply
They would have to cycle everyone that's in the line... So, I think they'd run till 3 in the morning at least. - BCC  4656.6 #5 6-3-11 12:15AM Like  Reply
If you get in line before park closing. - BCC  4656.6 #5 6-3-11 12:15AM Like  Reply

... That is my normal closing hours have not changed... I agree if your in the line before midnight you'll get to go on but you never know with Disney and they may extend if needed.... - missmartinez039_CM  3.3 #21071 6-3-11 12:41AM Like  Reply
In the 80's Disneyland had a 60 hour party, so it's possible they'd do it again. It was a lot of fun being there real late because the park was empty and there were no lines. My friend and I would keep running into my brother and his friend. Finding them sleeping here and there on benches. My friend and I discovered the band "Polo" at Tomorrowland Terrace and then became annual passholders after that. I would love for Disneyland to do it again! - GlitterFabulous  79.9 #3326 6-3-11 1:08AM Like  Reply
