We used a pedometer once and it turned out in like a very short trip, we had walked about 6 miles between DL and DCA in about 3 hours. Makes me really wonder how many miles are walked in day of 8+ hours, per say?? It would explain why my legs were entirely sore for about 3 days after lol. - OCdrumGuy  549.0 #203 8-18-11 12:37AM Like  Reply
I wore my running watch to the park today just to figure out this exact same thing! We were only there from 1 or so on, and sat for a couple hours total probably and hit 6.4 miles for the day. Gotta wear it on a day when we start at 8am! :) - LoveDland  300.7 #609 8-18-11 12:48AM Like  Reply
Some friends wore their pedometers and loved that rides such as Indy helped to increase their steps! I'm guessing if you use a pedometer or GPS watch then rides will impact the distance. - LilSterner  2656.0 #18 8-18-11 12:56AM Like  Reply
@Lilsterner Yes, but some you can "pause" before you get on the ride. Those ones work best at the park.  - OCdrumGuy  549.0 #203 8-18-11 1:12AM Like  Reply
