Today's English lesson: there is no such word as "alright" - it is always 2 words - "all right" and it's easy to remember this if you think that "Alright is never all right" - all right? Allrightythen...(and no - that's not a word either).
I always wondered, is it I could care less, or I couldn't care less? - Katrayher  739.0 #138 8-29-11 1:51AM Like  Reply
Neither is allot. Or irregardless. - DisneyFanZoe  1096.7 #75 8-29-11 1:52AM Like  Reply

If it's "could care less" then that wouldn't work in cases where it was not actually possible to care less. A bit like "penultimate" - which people use as if it means "ultimate" which it doesn't. Also, "thank you" is always two words and what Zoe said. I would also like to point out that it's "enamoured OF" not "enamoured WITH" and....I think that's enough for now. - BLG  1049.5 #82 8-29-11 2:03AM Like  Reply
I'm guilty of alright'ing :'( And I think I learned somewhere, at some point in life, that it is "Anyway" not "Anyways"...but I could be wrong...which wouldn't be a surprise. lol - AndReallyBadEggs  251.9 #994 8-29-11 2:05AM Like  Reply
You're right, eggs, and as for your confession, I hereby absolve you because you bumped Lily's post :) - BLG  1049.5 #82 8-29-11 2:07AM Like  Reply

Are we learning English or Australian? - Rob512  755.1 #134 8-29-11 2:08AM Like  Reply
I believe we are learning Australian. I am fluent in American. - bluefairy  627.1 #174 8-29-11 2:11AM Like  Reply
Woohoo! Thanks, BLG. I feel reborn! :o) - AndReallyBadEggs  251.9 #994 8-29-11 2:13AM Like  Reply
LOL! I'm fairly certain we are both from English-speaking countries....but if you haven't noticed from some of the other Aussies on here, we are just as challenged in that sphere as Americans. LOL! - BLG  1049.5 #82 8-29-11 2:17AM Like  Reply
