Help me! If you had to pick one. Drive 8 hours and stay at disneyland hotel or fly down and stay across the street.
Drive, that way more room for souvenirs.  - TigerLily76   265.4 #1179 9-2-11 10:17AM Like  Reply

Drive and stay at DL hotel!! 8 hours isn't that bad. - Jillian   767.1 #237 9-2-11 10:26AM Like  Reply
That's a tough one. Driving would get you to stay in a more prime spot but flying gets you more time in the parks and you don't have to worry about driving home. I am going against majority...I would fly. How much time do you spend in the hotel. - DisneyBride°O°   448.9 #470 9-2-11 10:29AM Like  Reply
Fly and hotel across the street!! Save yourself the headache and energy. You will only be in the room to sleep! - mozbaby   132.2 #2980 9-2-11 10:30AM Like  Reply
Fly! I hate driving down!!!! - supertracy   471.9 #438 9-2-11 10:31AM Like  Reply
Fly and stay across the street's an easy walk to the park & you'll have more time (: - niquimouse   132.0 #2983 9-2-11 10:33AM Like  Reply
Plus Disneyland Hotel prices are OUTRAGEOUS!!!! I refust to pay over $200 a night for a room. I remember the Grand for one AP promotion was $189-199 and now they want $284 for the Grand, $250 for Disneyland hotel and $225 for Paradise Pier. They are insane. - DisneyBride°O°   448.9 #470 9-2-11 10:35AM Like  Reply

Drive the DL hotels are 30% off right now. - sewgirl   342.6 #676 9-2-11 10:53AM Like  Reply
5 hours is less than 8! FLY more time in the parks. You really only sleep and shower all the fanciness isn't needed unless your going more than 4 or 5 days. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants   746.0 #247 9-2-11 10:57AM Like  Reply
Fly! 8 hour drive can turn into a 10 hour one depending on traffic. Besides, you'll spend more time in the parks than at the hotel even if you stay at a DLR hotel. - MellyChelly   266.3 #1172 9-2-11 11:15AM Like  Reply
Well by the time you get to the airport check in wait fly, drive from airport to DLR. You will prob be looking at at least 6 hours. So I would say drive. If plane is delayed you will waste time. That would be my logical reason. And I love staying at DLR even thou I only live about 15 mins away. :) - Minnis2Society   369.9 #595 9-2-11 11:16AM Like  Reply
If you haven't ever stayed at a DL hotel then drive. But if you have, fly and spend more time in the park  - 2BeignetOrNot2Beignet   1337.8 #127 9-2-11 11:17AM Like  Reply
It's over $200+ a night even with 30% off. From the John Wayne airport it's maybe a 20-30 minute drive. An 8 hour drive or a 2 hour flight even with drive/baggage time is still faster and less stressful. - DisneyBride°O°   448.9 #470 9-2-11 11:19AM Like  Reply
The hotels across the street are nice, avoid the stress of an 8 hour drive - Zooter   1388.7 #121 9-2-11 11:20AM Like  Reply
Depends on how long I'm staying. - hollyberry   370.2 #593 9-2-11 11:21AM Like  Reply
Also how many people are going? - jon-t   190.5 #2081 9-2-11 11:22AM Like  Reply
Fly. It's the park where you will be speeding all your time. Hotels across the street are great. All you do is sleep there anyway. - kraken33   5.1 #17739 9-2-11 11:22AM Like  Reply
I like what BTRMMman said. Drive and stay across the street. I use the whole priceline thing and o get the Marriott. Once I got holiday inn. Either way the hotels arent shacks and you'll have money to spend on whatever you want!! - ruhkel   173.2 #2331 9-2-11 11:24AM Like  Reply
Priceline is a really good idea! Last time I got the Hyatt for $70 and once got the Hilton Anaheim for $60. - DisneyBride°O°   448.9 #470 9-2-11 11:30AM Like  Reply
Drive! That way you can enjoy the other sites of Anaheim and more room for souvenirs. And stay at Disneyland hotel! Its a once in a lifetime experience! - TinkgirlMel   178.0 #2257 9-2-11 11:32AM Like  Reply
