Drive and stay at DL hotel!! 8 hours isn't that bad. - Jillian 767.1 #295 9-2-11 10:26AMLikeReply
That's a tough one. Driving would get you to stay in a more prime spot but flying gets you more time in the parks and you don't have to worry about driving home. I am going against majority...I would fly. How much time do you spend in the hotel. - DisneyBride°O° 448.9 #553 9-2-11 10:29AMLikeReply
Fly and hotel across the street!! Save yourself the headache and energy. You will only be in the room to sleep! - mozbaby 148.9 #2889 9-2-11 10:30AMLikeReply
Fly and stay across the street ..it's an easy walk to the park & you'll have more time (: - niquimouse 132.0 #3173 9-2-11 10:33AMLikeReply
Plus Disneyland Hotel prices are OUTRAGEOUS!!!! I refust to pay over $200 a night for a room. I remember the Grand for one AP promotion was $189-199 and now they want $284 for the Grand, $250 for Disneyland hotel and $225 for Paradise Pier. They are insane. - DisneyBride°O° 448.9 #553 9-2-11 10:35AMLikeReply
Drive. We drive everytime about 5 1/2 hours. - LeleMouse 224.1 #1817 9-2-11 10:35AMLikeReply

Drive, I do it all the time, I haven't flown since I was a kid (lol is flown the right word???) - lisaw 222.3 #1846 9-2-11 10:42AMLikeReply
Drive the DL hotels are 30% off right now. - sewgirl 342.6 #785 9-2-11 10:53AMLikeReply
5 hours is less than 8! FLY more time in the parks. You really only sleep and shower all the fanciness isn't needed unless your going more than 4 or 5 days. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants 751.9 #304 9-2-11 10:57AMLikeReply
Fly! 8 hour drive can turn into a 10 hour one depending on traffic. Besides, you'll spend more time in the parks than at the hotel even if you stay at a DLR hotel. - MellyChelly 272.6 #1268 9-2-11 11:15AMLikeReply
Well by the time you get to the airport check in wait fly, drive from airport to DLR. You will prob be looking at at least 6 hours. So I would say drive. If plane is delayed you will waste time. That would be my logical reason. And I love staying at DLR even thou I only live about 15 mins away. :) - Minnis2Society 382.4 #666 9-2-11 11:16AMLikeReply
If you haven't ever stayed at a DL hotel then drive. But if you have, fly and spend more time in the park - 2BeignetOrNot2Beignet 1589.9 #129 9-2-11 11:17AMLikeReply
It's over $200+ a night even with 30% off. From the John Wayne airport it's maybe a 20-30 minute drive. An 8 hour drive or a 2 hour flight even with drive/baggage time is still faster and less stressful. - DisneyBride°O° 448.9 #553 9-2-11 11:19AMLikeReply
The hotels across the street are nice, avoid the stress of an 8 hour drive - Zooter 1405.8 #144 9-2-11 11:20AMLikeReply
Also how many people are going? - jon-t 190.5 #2265 9-2-11 11:22AMLikeReply
Fly. It's the park where you will be speeding all your time. Hotels across the street are great. All you do is sleep there anyway. - kraken33 5.1 #20070 9-2-11 11:22AMLikeReply
I like what BTRMMman said. Drive and stay across the street. I use the whole priceline thing and o get the Marriott. Once I got holiday inn. Either way the hotels arent shacks and you'll have money to spend on whatever you want!! - ruhkel 173.2 #2503 9-2-11 11:24AMLikeReply
Priceline is a really good idea! Last time I got the Hyatt for $70 and once got the Hilton Anaheim for $60. - DisneyBride°O° 448.9 #553 9-2-11 11:30AMLikeReply
Drive! That way you can enjoy the other sites of Anaheim and more room for souvenirs. And stay at Disneyland hotel! Its a once in a lifetime experience! - TinkgirlMel 178.0 #2431 9-2-11 11:32AMLikeReply
drive! I would love to stay at the dl hotel. - missgoofy 371.6 #693 9-2-11 11:38AMLikeReply
Fly....you get more time in the park instead of sitting in the car. - GoofyJen 280.8 #1178 9-2-11 11:58AMLikeReply
Fly! An 8 hour drive can turn into 12 or 14 hour drive with traffic. - Yoshi 257.6 #1408 9-2-11 12:02PMLikeReply
Fly! More time in the park and the walk is actually shorter than that from the DH - dltwin55 217.7 #1907 9-2-11 12:37PMLikeReply
