Hi Friends! My hubby and I have decided to finally purchase Annual Passes! Is it better to do it online or in person? How long does it take for you to receive them in the mail? Our next trip is on October 2nd. Yippee! :)
I bought mine in person at the ticket booth. It was super easy. - Jillian765.4 #129 9-3-11 12:25PMLike Reply
Did ours online. Printed the pass to ues first day at park this Monday. - sewgirl340.5 #430 9-3-11 3:02PMLike Reply
Online is quick and easy. You can print out a ticket and then get the AP card at the park. - BRabbit306.0 #579 9-3-11 3:04PMLike Reply
That's so exiting. Congrats. Which pass are you getting. We've bought them online from Australia. - TrueFromOzLovesDisney312.2 #546 9-3-11 3:05PMLike Reply
Do you already have tickets for your next trip cause if you do I believe you can still trade them In and pay the difference - gooftroop127.4 #4497 9-3-11 3:09PMLike Reply
Thanks everyone :) We're so excited...first time annual passes for us! I'm leaning towards doing it online - do we still get a cute "real" card when we get to the parks? @jacs1234 - we're going for the Premium - I don't get weekdays off much, so we'd rather not have blackout dates. Are you able to scan the printout for your parking on the first day? - Alicewhoareyou536.0 #209 9-3-11 3:10PMLike Reply
@gooftroop - nope, haven't bought them yet for our next trip. - Alicewhoareyou536.0 #209 9-3-11 3:11PMLike Reply
You have to pay for parking the first trip, bur when you get to the park and get your card, just show them the parking stub and you will get a refund. - BRabbit306.0 #579 9-3-11 3:14PMLike Reply
I renew online each year and get the pass in a couple of days. If you're buying for the first time, you'll get a printout that you then take to the ticket booth to getthe actual pass. So it really doesn't matter which way you do it. - LilSterner2656.0 #17 9-3-11 3:17PMLike Reply
At least online you don't have to wait in a line for the ticket window - TinkerBelleMC19.0 #5164 9-3-11 4:22PMLike Reply
I renewed mine online this past Tuesday and got them in the mail this morning. It's free and beats waiting in line. - PumkinQueen9930.1 #4364 9-3-11 4:26PMLike Reply
If you buy online, there's a print at home option and the tickets are emailed to you. The time starts ticking the first day you enter the park so you can buy them now and not worry about wasting days. Then when you go to the park, you trade the paper ticket in for the plastic cards. Congrats! - MouseDudette143.9 #2384 9-3-11 4:29PMLike Reply
We purchased ours online this year because or friends is a cop so we used her discount. Its really easy either way. - Splashmountgirl332.3 #461 9-3-11 11:06PMLike Reply
I did ours online and just printed out the passes and avoided the long line to buy them over at DL. Then you go straight to the gate and they will scan the bar code and the cm will tell you where to go get ur AP inside DL - laurajubee204.4 #1563 9-3-11 11:14PMLike Reply
Just an FYI- there is no AP Processing Center inside DL or DCA right now so you have to get the plastic card at a ticket booth. But if you print up the ticket and go to a turnstyle you can get a paper ticket for the day and wait for a more convenient time to get the plastic card. - LilSterner2656.0 #17 9-3-11 11:27PMLike Reply
@Lilsterner - thanks for the info, is it because the Plaza is closed? hmmm...not sure if it would just be better to take the printout straight to the ticket booth before we go in - that way we won't have to leave the park in the middle of the day? Do they still take your picture? I'm confused. - Alicewhoareyou536.0 #209 9-3-11 11:30PMLike Reply
