New AvatarLand coming to Disney Animal Kingdom in Florida - http://bit.ly/qJMUPR - what do you think about this???

Kind of feels like they are on a fast track to ruining the Disney experience - GoofyHauntedMansion  24.6 #5494 9-21-11 5:11PM Like  Reply
I love the visuals in Avatar; if Disney is doing it, I have faith that its gonna be good. - Mr. Fredrickson  120.4 #2970 9-21-11 5:15PM Like  Reply
I dnt know about this yet...i thnk gracie is right..taken away the disney feel...why not dalmations or hercules or other chracters we dnt see..maybe it will b amazing.we will see...im sure it will b above an beyond - akmouser73  139.1 #2687 9-21-11 5:15PM Like  Reply
I liked the movie but I do wish they would add something Disney before exploring other films...but then again I love star tours and the addition to the Disney family in that sense... - MarshaMouse  3503.4 #23 9-21-11 5:21PM Like  Reply
I don't feel like Avatar is that well ingrained into our culture yet, to make a complete land, although as the highest grossing movie and with such a lush environment to create from, it could be cool. - Zooter  1379.5 #80 9-21-11 6:54PM Like  Reply
Avatar has nothing to do with Disney and has no place in any of the parks. This is something that belongs at Universal. And at Animal Kingdom of all places! It's sic-fi nonsense that if anything would belong at Hollywood Studios. - DiscoSteve  266.2 #1033 9-21-11 6:55PM Like  Reply
I do want to see how they go with it. I mean if any company can do it Disney can. The movie was visually experience of lifetime so far. But what I really liked reading on your link was the Nick Cage article. - Cricket  224.4 #1502 9-21-11 7:20PM Like  Reply
Well, Star wars and indiana Jones have nothing to do with the parks either... - TikiJOSEsWingman  332.4 #611 9-21-11 7:21PM Like  Reply
One more reason not to go there - shakanarnarshane  212.0 #1659 9-21-11 7:32PM Like  Reply
It'll take them awhile to paint all the animals blue. - Experiment818  1600.4 #68 9-21-11 7:36PM Like  Reply
They ought to take the lesson they learned with California Adventure. The public spoke up against it by way of low attendance, forcing the Imaginears back to the proverbial drawing board. The public demanded "DISNEY," and thanks to a lengthy and costly revision and remodel, we get to pay for it. This is the worst idea they've had...ever. - susieQzee  527.3 #304 9-21-11 7:36PM Like  Reply
I hated avatar and have zero interest in a live theme park experience of it. - Dumbomom  308.5 #726 9-21-11 7:38PM Like  Reply
Another reason not to go to Florida. - scoot  279.0 #906 9-21-11 7:48PM Like  Reply
love the movie but hate this idea, doesn't matter as long as it doesn't come to dl. - missgoofy  368.3 #513 9-21-11 7:50PM Like  Reply
Definitely agree with some of the above...if Disney is doing the project, I'm sure it'll be amazing...BUT...Avatar does not scream 'Disney' or 'Disney magic' to me.. - London-In-Wonderland  445.4 #397 9-21-11 7:53PM Like  Reply
I think the world of pandora definitely screams disney magic. Supernatural life and fantastic colorful creatures, some good some bad. Beautiful landscapes. - xsdesign  421.7 #430 9-21-11 7:56PM Like  Reply
Well think about it......when my family and I watched this film we were all thinking the same thing. Pocahantus!!! It reminded us so much of pocahantus. Could be good. - jerzanemama  117.7 #3011 9-21-11 7:58PM Like  Reply
I have doubts about how popular this will be. The movie was popular, but I have to wonder if that mythology will have the persistent effect on pop culture that Star Wars and Indy have. Without that long lasting impact on culture, people will just wonder what it's doing in a Disney park. - mistereeyore  159.7 #2367 9-21-11 8:05PM Like  Reply
Yea I hated this movie and I have no idea what they were thinking when deciding this. How ever I am curios to see how this is gonna turn out! - stevo222  10.2 #8477 9-21-11 8:53PM Like  Reply
No thanks, I hated the movie and won't buy it. Would not visit this either... - Pintraderswife  461.3 #371 9-21-11 9:14PM Like  Reply

No it does not belong in disney parks. Avatar isn't a good movie, it just has really good graphics. If disney is going to add a new part to animal kingdom they should do Pocahontas. - princessJordan  498.6 #334 9-27-11 1:08AM Like  Reply
Avatar is Ferngully minus the singing/Dances with Wolves & probably Pocahontas. But with blue people. Might as well call it the Smurfs - cesium55  531.6 #299 9-27-11 1:13AM Like  Reply
I understand the star wars and Indy things...about how they aren't exactly disney either. But from what I understand is this avatar thing is like a whole new land not just one ride. It's not like they made star wars land or anything (but that would be pretty great). As long as they keep that stuff away from Cali I'm ok. - Jillian  766.7 #183 9-27-11 1:16AM Like  Reply
Initially I'm all against this, but some of you have reminded us that Star Wars and Indy are not Disney creations (i sometimes forget they just feel Disney now) either and i can't imagine the parks without them. I guess we will have to keep an open mind about this. - jjdq  338.0 #591 9-27-11 1:18AM Like  Reply
