Good Morning MWrs! Happy hump day :) I am Las Vegas bound for New Years. But this is somewhat Disney related..lol..just wondering if anyone has seen these shows out in Vegas? Opinions please :) I want to see both but that would be a little too much $..Thanks :)
The stage for the lion king at mandalay bay was built FOR the lion king. It is imo, much better than the LA run. The set pieces and the way they move onstage and the special effects are absolutely supurb. And as has been mentioned, it's leaving soon! I highly recommend it! - WhyIsTheRumGone68.6 #3437 12-28-11 11:15AMLike(3) Reply
As much as I love Disney, it's hard to beat a good Beatles show. - Mouse4life1085.3 #78 12-28-11 10:22AMLike(2) Reply

I really liked Love. I only saw Lion King during it's original run in LA and loved it. - PrincessDuckie588.3 #188 12-28-11 9:03AMLike Reply
When I saw Love in Vegas the sage broke and we only saw half to show. At least our tickets were refunded. And Lion King I saw on Broadway. It was AMAZING! Not sure if the Vegas cast is different though. - JessicaRabbit33667.9 #156 12-28-11 9:04AMLike Reply
I saw The Lion King in LA and it was amazing! I'd love to see it again. I'm also not a Beatles fan so that's one I'd skip. - KissDclown1088.1 #77 12-28-11 9:06AMLike Reply
Both are amazing shows from what I've heard. However, when Broadway shows are in Vegas there is a time limit and sometimes the show is cut to fit the time frame. I know they did that to Avenue Q when it was there. Just be prepared that it might not be the full Broadway production. - Gia785.6 #121 12-28-11 9:07AMLike Reply
They did that to Phantom too. I refuse to see it in Vegas because of that. Phantom is my favorite. - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 12-28-11 11:28AM
Wow seems like I'll be tossing a coin up in the air for a final decision lol. They both sound pretty good. Thanks everyone for your opinions..I have a few hours to decide..should be interesting lol - LuvsMimisHouse108.6 #2930 12-28-11 9:07AMLike Reply
We saw The Lion King in Vegas back in September, and it was outstanding. Your decision might be swayed according to which day you are arriving in Vegas, since The Lion King ends its successful run at Mandalay Bay on Dec. 30, 2011. - susieQzee480.9 #247 12-28-11 10:20AMLike Reply

The Lion King gave me goosebumps. Especially when the whole cast is harmonizing. It gives me this uplifting feeling like when I watch World of Color. - Starr549.9 #201 12-28-11 11:06AMLike Reply
Hey we're in Vegas too!:) we were goin to see the lion king but they said it was 75$ and our seats wouldn't be together. My mom saw it in NY and said it was wonderful so we aren't going and just going to take her word for it haha!:) have fun! - TangledDREAMS10.5 #6595 12-28-11 11:10AMLike Reply

My husband and I have gone to see Love 5 times and it's amazing everytime. If you like the Beatles you'll love the show. Ive seen the Lion King 2 times once in Vegas and another when it was in LA a few years ago. It's a very good show and worth watching at least once. We got discount tickets to see Love with our players card when we went in October. We got good seats for about 80 instead of 100+. And just to let you know we've seen it in different areas in the theater and even the cheapest seats are good ones. We've seen all Cirque shows in Vegas and Love is the best one in my opinion. - Salfam215.9 #1403 12-28-11 12:50PMLike Reply
I've seen most of the shows here in Vegas, LOVE is my absolute fave-The Beatles are my all time favorite band. KA and The Lion King are good, so is Le Reve at the Wynn. π - donaldduckgal6.8 #8349 12-28-11 2:00PMLike Reply
I paid $125 per ticket to see LOVE. It was worth every penny and I would have paid double. Amazing. - NurseDisney29.2 #4410 12-28-11 6:15PMLike Reply
I am in Las Vegas as well and I am a beatles fan but show wasn't worth it but the Lion King at the Mandlay Bay was great - LittleMermaidAriel16.6 #5444 12-28-11 6:32PMLike Reply
While I liked LOVE, it was definitely not the Cirque performance I was expecting. If you see it, it's more about the music than the typical Cirque elements. If I was going to see a Cirque show I'd much rather see O. Let's put it this way, I probably wouldn't pay to see LOVE again, but I would definitely pay to see The Lion King again!! - Mimmy1405.6 #57 12-28-11 6:41PMLike Reply
I live in Vegas and Lion King is phenomenal. Check Tickets Tonight or see if they are running any local specials. If they are I don't mind meeting you so that you can use my ID to purchase your tixs. Maybe that way you could afford both ξ - MouseMomx3140.1 #2445 12-28-11 6:57PMLike Reply
I just looked and Lion King tixs are 2 for 1 for locals. - MouseMomx3 140.1 #2445 12-28-11 7:05PM
Aww thanks alot for offering to use your id for ticket purchase, my boyfriend lives here and in LA so he can get us the locals discount :). The 2 for 1 deal sounds good. Thanks for looking into that! - LuvsMimisHouse 108.6 #2930 12-28-11 11:57PM

Loved the Lion King in LA, but did not get to see it in Vegas. Enjoy NYE, just be careful if you'll be on the strip with all the crazies. - Ht614.0 #178 12-28-11 7:09PMLike Reply
Thanks! Oh those crazies are out day and night lol. The boyfriend and I will be at his brothers place..a bit less crazier haha - LuvsMimisHouse 108.6 #2930 12-29-11 12:04AM
Honestly, it depends on which "theme" you relate to better. If you are a diehard Beatles fan, go to Love. But if you can watch Lion King 100x and still feel euphoria when you sing "Can you feel the love tonight," go to LK. I saw Lion King on Broadway in NYC and it was one of my favorite nights of my life, haha. But that's simply because of how much I love the movie! - KylaShea533.2 #214 12-28-11 7:09PMLike Reply

I saw Beatles 'love' in Vegas last year. Thought it was fantastic. I've also seen the Lion King but it was in Sydney, Australia about 8 years ago and I absolutely loved it. I cried and it gave me goosebumps!! I would recommend them both! π - aussiekate164.4 #2096 12-29-11 5:20AMLike Reply
