Has anyone used a pedometer (or app) to see how much you walk at the parks? I always feel like I've walked 20 miles per day, lol!
For a diet I was on I had to log 10k steps a day. We went to Disneyland from 10-6 one day and logged 23k. Which is 11.5 miles...so anyone there opening to closing during busy season could easily hit 20 miles IMO. It was crazy to think we walked that much...if I were walking a trail I'm sure it wouldn't have been that enjoyable... - ktkakes325.2 #502 1-16-12 3:57PMLike(1) Reply

The last time I went to Disneyworld I did. 5 days at the parks equaled right around 50 miles!! I need to remember to pack mine when I go to Dland this week! - JediDug285.0 #701 1-16-12 1:53PMLike Reply
GoofyJoe would know the answer to this! I think it's more like 3-5? :o) - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz922.2 #94 1-16-12 1:53PMLike Reply
I believe it's a 1/2 mile from the Mickey and friends structure to the front gates... I know that's at least a mile for me since I don't take the tram :) - figzchic462.4 #264 1-16-12 2:00PMLike Reply
Most I've clocked in one day was a little over 7 miles. Make sure you turn it off on rides though as the bouncing and jostling can screw up your reading - Pixarprincess531.4 #215 1-16-12 2:01PMLike Reply

We average around 6 miles a visit. But we try to walk a lot. Since the DL and DCA FastPass system are separate, we'll get a Fastpass from DL then hop over to DCA for another. Back and forth. Fun way to get some exercise in. - 50sKid68.0 #3445 1-16-12 2:07PMLike Reply
That's what we do too! - ima-pirateswife 432.3 #289 1-16-12 2:10PM
An app called Endomondo has a pedometer. It's free to download. Just pause it when you go on a ride so you don't account for those distances when you are sitting and moving, not walking. - susieQzee480.7 #247 1-16-12 2:57PMLike Reply
We did one day and it was thousands of steps! We still laugh about it and how we need to start a training program before our next trip. - Sharkgrrl19202.9 #1585 1-16-12 3:06PMLike Reply
I have used one in the parks several times. We average 17 miles per day. The highest was 23 on one long day. - Eraf61264.6 #872 1-16-12 4:04PMLike Reply
