I just was wondering what "Legends, myths, rumors" do you guys know? ex. basketball court in the Matterhorn.. im facinated by this stuff :-)
Legends should not be worn as pants. The myth in the Jungle rain forest is toxic. rumors was my favorite album in high school. - JungleBum 1014.3 #150 3-25-12 8:51PMLike(9)Reply
Sleeping Beauty's Castle has a real working drawbridge, but it’s only been lowered twice—on opening day in 1955, and to celebrate the newly remodeled Fantasyland in 1983. - iFramedRogerRabbit 1958.0 #62 3-25-12 9:04PMLike(7)Reply
I think one of the best is the body under the stairs on TOT. Can't really see it without a light. I looked a few times then used my cell phone flashlight and there it was!! - Chadco 307.6 #767 3-26-12 4:10PMLike(4)Reply
There is a basketball court in the Matterhorn. It's really just a concrete floor and a hoop on the wall - BaseballMickey_CM 6084.0 #13 3-25-12 8:53PMLike(2)Reply
There are Disney Cats! They sometimes hang out in the sun I'm Tom Sawyer Island! True story saw them last time I was there! The cm told us they have the kennels( or whatever for cats) are behind fantasyland! - CourtyAstroBlisters 676.9 #243 3-25-12 9:08PMLike(2)Reply
There is a mystical sword that appears in the Castle moat every once in a while. Keep an eye out for it!! - caramiapoohAKAface 3084.4 #32 3-25-12 11:50PMLike(2)Reply
Fact: The UppityEmpress has an entourage waiting for his return, and any family member of his are welcome to join😃 - toph 2416.6 #43 3-25-12 8:46PMLike(1)Reply
I have a lot! But one good one to look for next time is in HM during the ball room scene. If you look behind you there is a wheel chair and apparently a woman asked if she could have something of her deceased husband in the HM since it was his favorite ride and decided to put a wheel chair. It's folded up and sits to the side but it's creepy to look back and actually see it! - AshleyLynn22 791.2 #196 3-25-12 11:40PMLike(1)Reply
There is a rumour that Walt Disney is frozen underneath either POTC or the Castle. Totally untrue though. He was cremated (sorry if I spelt it wrong) and his ashes are now at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. There's also the Peter Pan one I got. Well basically, the last time you see Hook in the ride (which is when he's being chomped on by Tic Toc), his hook is in the wrong hand. It's supposed to be on his left hand as originally stated in the book. - Ain1derland 330.3 #651 3-26-12 7:28PMLike(1)Reply
I had read on a Haunted Mansion fan site that there supposedly really is a room (not a hotel room) which you can rent for weddings and parties in the Haunted Mansion for a pretty penny. However, I asked a cast member about it and they were perplexed as to what I was talking about. The site said Disneyland...I double checked but I'm wondering if they meant WDW. I have been to WDW once so don't know beans about it/it's special offers. I chalked this one up to rumor... - Aquata 292.3 #855 3-25-12 9:15PMLikeReply
the disneyland railroad and mark twain run on biofuel, which in human talk, is french fry oil from the restaurants in DL - DonaldMissingPants 300.0 #806 3-25-12 11:22PMLikeReply
When DL used to sell soft frozen lemonade, the leftovers in the machine at the end of the day would be poured into buckets, stored and used the next day. Yuck - Polkadobo 382.4 #509 3-25-12 11:31PMLikeReply
The spider on the glass in the HM ballroom scene is covering up a crack, rumored to have been created by a slingshot? - Polkadobo 382.4 #509 3-25-12 11:47PMLikeReply
I always enjoy seeing the Eeyor parking sign at the Indy Jones ride and the country bears heads in the Winnie the Pooh ride. - elmickeyman 215.0 #1676 3-26-12 1:59PMLikeReply
when they first built haunted mansion, the mansion was built and stayed empty for SIX years while they finished other things for the ride and other attractions to be close by, it finally opened in 1969!. - secretagentangel 1251.8 #103 3-26-12 5:41PMLikeReply
Not sure if it's true, but my Sis told me she read somewhere that on the partner's statue, Walt is wearing a relationship ring signifying that he is "single". I've never heard of it, does anyone know anything about it? - Simbaholic 30.4 #5230 3-26-12 6:44PMLikeReply
I read that Coke provides their product free to Disneyland so its all profit. - dislndlvr 124.9 #2949 3-26-12 7:05PMLikeReply
