The museum is an incredible collection of artifacts an information not only related to Disneyland and the Disney brand but the Disney family as a whole. The part I loved was learning about Walt's childhood and the struggles he faced as an animator. We went to the museum on opening weekend. It was amazing. I was blown away by the amount of detail and how much hard work went into creating not just the DL park but all of the movies, shorts, cartoons, etc. When you go you are immediately immersed in Walt's imagination and brilliance. My favorite moment of the day was toward the end of the exhibit when you enter the room that has the large model of Disneyland, we spent a very long time taking in all of the details. The museum is beautiful! It's more "Walt Disney" oriented, focusing on his life and the roots of how Disney got its start. The museum really gives you a better appreciation of Disney because you see all the little details that most people tend to overlook when they visit the parks or think of "Disney" in general. There are a ton of animated artifacts, like MM's original sketch and other great finds that you can't see anywhere else but the museum. My favorite part has to be the Mickey section, where visitors see the evolution of Mickey Mouse, or the room with the giant Disneyland mock-up towards the end. The most touching and impact full exhibit has to be the very end which chronicles the final impact Walt had and how his legacy lives on today! :) - PBandJ  274.9 #780 4-5-12 7:55AM Like  Reply

You have my permission any ways here are some thoughts from my visit a year or so ago. My sisters and I went. Lots to read so bring glasses if you need them. No photos inside 😁Take your time I learned so much and it was great to see things like the Snow White charm bracelet. I understand why the swings are called Silly Symphonies now. The model of Disneyland is fabulous. Small cafe is ok but I would recommend packing a lunch and eating it outside. The store had cool stuff pins shirts knick knacks books jewelry etc. I think it is too much reading for kids in my opinion. - Dizkid  284.2 #707 4-5-12 12:25PM Like  Reply

i thought the museum was amazing, clearly more for adults than children as it required copious amounts of reading and was more about walt's history than anything else. of course my favourite part/room was the disneyland room with the scale model of disneyland. it slightly brought tears to my eyes. the whole place is a wonderful way to learn more about the man who brought the magic. - nicoleface  1275.8 #65 4-5-12 1:17PM Like  Reply

If you are into Disney this is a must see. I liked the way that they did rooms for certain times in his life. In each room they have phones that you hear interviews from people that actually had something to do with what your looking at. They always have special events when I went they had an animator from Pixar who actually drew some of the characters from some of their movies. He showed how he came up with character and drew them.
