Disneyland Talk

I joined in Aug of 2010 for the wait times. I finally found the lounge a few months later, but assumed it was just when you were in the parks! After winning an in park RAK from Jo_ohanna and nvts, I got more active. After my first meetup, May 2011, I realized what a great group of people were here! I have met so many amazing folks...and some have become very close friends. MW is more than just a Disney app for me. I love MW, I found it by looking for an app for Disney. I have met awesome people because of this app I love seeing all the pictures from the park especially when I am having withdrawals. The meet ups are a great way to meet new people. I tell people that it's a great way to see wait times and meet new people. I found MW by looking for a wait time app. I branched out to the Lounge because of my love of the parks. My friends and some family don't understand my obsession. I found MW when G2T became obsessed and wouldn't put his phone down. I finally decided to join to see what all the hype was about and was instantly hooked. I found out about MW from a friend's sister at a baby shower. I always recommend MW to everyone I hear talking about DL. The wait times, weather/other features...especially the lounge. Everyone I talk to or meet up with in the parks is always soo nice and fun! I was trying to plan for a trip to DL, and found this awesome app on my phone. It took me a while to brave a meetup (in Fresno), but Im so glad I did. I can't wait till the next one. There are so many things at Disney that I never would have known or done without this app. Before MW, I went to DL and felt like one day was plenty of time to do it all. When I first got an Android phone (R2D2 version) I immediately downloaded this app because I heard other Disney fans of mine used it. What I didn't know was that it had a lounge. A few months later I just happened to stumble upon it and then it helped changed my Disney life. The app gave me tips I didn't know about (Ex: JC map), food items such as Pommes Frites and drinks like the Mint Julep, the famous CM Maynard, the meaning of a RAK, etc. My favorite post was the comments left for my grandma when I dressed her in as Snow White. I was actually just looking up Disney apps and found this. I didn't get a chance to use it while in park in November because of my battery being drained but I am on everyday. I live and love everyones posts. It helps since I only go once a year. This is my favorite app and I can't wait to finally get to meet some other mouse waiters on our next trip. I joined last May after mine and mads first trip last march to try and get more out of our next trip.I was blown away on how much all the various resource tabs helped me plan out our next trip. I also lurked about the lounge all the time, it was amazing how much I felt connected to Disneyland and how much more the lounge made my anticipation grow, in a good way. After our summer trip i became a full time MW addict, and began to enjoy participating in the lounge. I actually stumbled upon mousewait from a woman who was standing in front of me waiting to board the tram. I just notice that she was looking at wait times for the atractions so i decided to look it up on my phone. I also found MW just looking for a Disney app and actually deleted it once cause I wasn't sure how much use I would get out of it not actually being at the parks. I rediscovered it a little while later and actually took the time to read the FAQs and browse through all the different resources (which really help in planning a trip) and then found the lounge! I don't post much except to ask questions or answer one if no one else has and I actually know the answer :) I do love to read all the other posts and especially love to see the pictures since we don't get to go very often living in the Midwest. I also was looking around at Disney apps. I would spend nights upon nights just glued to my phone reading everything! My father has taken me to Disneyland every year since I was since I was 3 so for 18 years Disneyland has been a huge part of my life. After joining the MW family I discovered a whole new love for Disney. I've met some of my best friends here, and became part of this amazing family. As Stitch has said, "This is my family.
