#MW Magazine! Hello vinylmation and pin traders/collectors/lovers! For the magazine, I have two pages dedicated to these wonderful little addictions. However, I need some content from you folk! For the vinylmation page, I need information on a topic of your choosing that has to do with vinyls--what a "chaser" is, best places to buy them, how to avoid bad trades, your opinion on the new vs. old mold etc. It's up to you! Same thing goes for pin traders. I already have a profile from SG about how to spot fakes, how to pin trade, and I have a "Pin trading lingo" section, but I need original content from one of you! Topic of your choosing :). Please comment below with what you'd like to talk about, and then DM me your email address so we can chat! Thanks!!
I agree with Cali. A vinyl 101 would be a great way to start. When you are new to collecting you don't realize the ins and outs of the hobby. Some tips on how to know when you're swimming with sharks could be helpful. I think a calendar of upcoming releases would also be a cool feature. Perhaps there could even be a section for some MWers to display their custom work. I have seen some cool customs done by some very creative people here on MW. I would assume if it isn't the centerfold of the mag already, Vinylmation Theatre should definitely be represented somewhere. I've only been collecting for a year so I know you can find much wiser traders than myself. you could start off with the basics, so as to maybe inform those who don't know much about the world of vinylmations.. Cali, Mickey, Agent P --- Can you guys each compile a list of say 5 tips for Vinyl 101? Then I'll create a little How-to for the page. I agree with Cali! I also think that a list of helpful collector sites would be good. I also did see a bad ebay seller list on one site for vinyl collectors- great to help avoid buying scrappers!
