I have a question for those of you that bring DSLRs to the parks! What kind of tweaks do you make to the settings to get ride shots? I tried messing with the settings quite a bit on my last trip and it just wasn't working. (I've had the camera for a while, even took a photo class last year. But I just haven't used it enough since to remember everything!) Thanks in advance for any tips you have!

the shutter speed and aperture are probably your 2 biggest issues. you need to allow the shutter to remain open longer to allow more light/exposure. however this can result in blurry photos. my best advice is keep at it. try all kinds of different settings and combinations. you will find what works best, and unfortunately sometimes what works in one situation doesnt for another. good luck! - Pixarprincess  531.4 #215 5-9-12 12:49PM Like  Reply

I have found that often keeping the camera on f/5 or so does well but like they have mentioned, just messing around and figuring out your camera is best. I've been taking pictures in the park with someone who actually has a different brand of camera than me and it has helped me learn my own camera immensely! - IDVandalSkipperCM  1296.5 #63 5-9-12 1:40PM Like  Reply
