Two weeks from today we will be in the parks!! So excited! My first trip as a mommy to be so I'll be enjoying taking it slow and getting some of the Disney foods I've been craving (hello churro and steak gumbo). We will also be buying some of the vintage attraction posters to use in the baby's Disneyland nursery. Any special advice for a pregnant lady in the parks? Thanks!
Congrats!!πŸ’™πŸ’—πŸ’› take plenty of breaks,drink lots of water and just have a wonderful time!πŸ’œπŸ˜„πŸ‘ - ReachForTheSky   676.2 #354 5-27-12 7:52AM Like(1)  Reply
Hey little mama! Definitely keep up on your water in the heat! Take breaks often and put your feet up! I'm sure you'll enjoy plenty of Disneyland food but stick to small portions or split with your hubby and watch the sodium content, when you're on your feet in the heat it's easy to swell with a lot of salt heavy foods. Don't just rely on water to recharge when you're walking a lot in the heat, drink coconut water/sports drink like Recharge or Gaterade to keep your potassium and electrolytes up. That extra potassium will help you fend off leg cramps but keep bananas on hand too! Know what you should and shouldn't ride (there's a list in my posts or I can bump it for you). Also, I highly suggest you take an evening to do something that will be difficult once you have the baby: a date night at one of the nice restaurants on property and maybe a movie. Enjoy your last trip just the two of you! - cynDOLEwhip   1175.7 #186 5-27-12 8:02AM Like(1)  Reply
Thank you so much!! These are all great tips! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #631 5-27-12 1:18PM
Mommy of four here with lots of pg Disney experience. My best advice is wear comfortable, supportive shoes (even if u plan on taking it slow your back will thank u) and drink A LOT of water. More than you think you would need. I would always bring my own water bottle to make sure I reached at least 80-90oz. Congrats and have a ✨magical✨ trip! - marsdenmom   15.4 #9390 5-27-12 7:03AM Like  Reply
Thanks for the tips! I think I'll probably take an afternoon nap at the hotel when the temps are high and then head back in well rested for the evening. - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #631 5-27-12 7:11AM
Use the Baby Care Center for all of your baby/toddler/preschooler needs. They have private booths for nursing, soft and comfy changing tables, little pottys, high chairs, and ice cold water. Enjoy!! - LaPearleNoir   3139.4 #56 5-27-12 7:21AM Like  Reply
Take a lot of breaks! I went prego a few times and enjoyed just sitting and people watching when I got tired. Also, avoid the super-crowded areas like main street right after a parade or fireworks. It stressed me out a little to be in such tight crowds when I was in the later stages of pregnancy. But the good news is there's tons of delicious food for you to feed the little one! Have fun and bring lots of water! - tballzz   558.2 #425 5-27-12 7:40AM Like  Reply
Oh and not sure if you have any other kids, but if not, enjoy your time at the parks without a stroller! - tballzz  558.2 #425 5-27-12 7:46AM
These are all great! Thank you. This will be our first so we will definitely take time to appreciate our last stroller free trip. - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #631 5-27-12 7:49AM
