For those of you with embroidered classic mousketeer ear hats, where and when did you get yours embroidered? It seems to need an act of congress to get these things embroidered anymore!
I know right now in the stores we have ears that look like the classic mousketeer hats and you can get them embroided hope that helps :) - Timechaser_cm 265.3 #1257 5-27-12 5:54PMLikeReply
Hat shop in Fantasyland, around my birthday, Feb. 25 - cynDOLEwhip 1175.7 #159 5-27-12 5:56PMLikeReply
I think you should have MWers send you pictures of them embroidered and then don't give up until someone agrees to do it! - cynDOLEwhip 1175.7 #159 5-27-12 5:57PMLikeReply
I bought mine and my sons at this site from a MWer http://designsbyalisha.blogspot.com/ - minnieMisty 276.9 #1135 5-27-12 6:22PMLikeReply
I got mine done in DCA at the open air store next to goofys fly school and the corn dog place. I convinced the CM that I would keep them even if there was a mistake. you should get them to cut the size tag off first though I can see that my stitching was one step away from being ruined because it got twisted up in that. for best luck try to squeeze out tears, they used the same line on me about them being LE and I just welled up. - howdyhowdyhowdy 97.9 #3699 5-27-12 8:49PMLikeReply
Got both my daughters and mine done at the hat store when you first enter near Lincoln. No problems what so ever! Had a hard time finding the ears, but after finding them at another store, just took them there. My daughter loves hers! - emnldsmom 370.1 #642 5-27-12 9:05PMLikeReply
I think its sad that they charge up to $7.00 to embroider the ears now. 5 years ago when my family got ours, there was no charge only for the hat itself :( - PaintingTheRosesRed 433.9 #529 5-27-12 9:16PMLikeReply
I got mine at the Mad Hatter store and they refused to embroider. They said they were told not to but the CM also said I could try asking somewhere else. They also didn't have the Mickey version anymore. Only the Minnie version with the bow. They said the Mickey version wasn't selling as well. Has anyone seen the Mickey version anywhere? - PickyPicky 14.7 #9030 5-27-12 9:26PMLikeReply
I know the World of Disney store still embroiders, just got an ear hat last week. - Sarafina 491.7 #459 5-27-12 9:29PMLikeReply
I got mine done around 16 years ago at the mad hatter store :) sad thing is...they still fit O_o lol - AnaheimsMom 244.0 #1479 5-27-12 9:35PMLikeReply
What I've been told that the hat you are talking about is too thick for our machines. Sorry - BaseballMickey 7957.8 #11 5-27-12 9:38PMLikeReply
I had mine embroidered at The Mad Hatter back in February. It wasn't done correctly, because the "i' was really offset above the rest of the text line. Two days later, I returned with them. That CM suggested enlarging the font size, and that seemed to have made the difference. The "vintage" Mouseketeer ears are thicker than the standard ears they sell, and that causes the needles to break (also what the second CM told me). - susieQzee 555.8 #388 5-27-12 9:39PMLikeReply
You could always take them to those kiosks in the mall that embroider the MLB type of hats. Those are just as thick and their machines have needles of various sizes. Specialty stores that do embroidery will prob. do it as well since they will have the correct needle size. - PickyPicky 14.7 #9030 5-27-12 9:54PMLikeReply
Thanks guys! I'll keep trying, but if Disney won't do it, my seamstress will! - ladylikesdisney 945.0 #201 5-27-12 10:11PMLikeReply
