Hi! I had a question for anyone who has recently visited Disney world in Florida. My husband and I might get the opportunity to visit Disney World in Florida for our anniversary. We would only get to stay for one full day. (even one day would be a blast!) in your opinion, do you think we would be able to see everything in a day? This would be soooo exciting! I LOVE Dland, and have never been to Disney World. We were engaged at Disneyland, so it would be very fitting!
Welcome! WDW consists of 4 parks. Seeing everything in all 4 parks in one day is impossible to do. Maybe just focus on one park? - BaseballMickey   9257.8 #14 6-6-12 9:17PM Like  Reply
*6 Parks! 7 if you dare to include Disney Quest. - Nyghtngale  572.3 #417 6-6-12 9:36PM
@Strawberry I did it :) If you need help, let me know - BaseballMickey  9257.8 #14 6-6-12 9:51PM
I went in August for 5 days and went to 4 of the 6 parks. It's definitely doable if you go during the "slow season". - Nyghtngale  572.3 #417 6-6-12 9:58PM
Such as mini watching while they go on the big kiddie rides and out to dinner? 😁😂😂😂😂 - Minnis2Society  382.4 #686 6-6-12 10:14PM
Yes, that would be over the top, even for me! Actually, we were thinking of going to the one with Cinderellas castle. We would like to do a trip with all of our kids in a couple of years and go to all the parks. - 7mouskedoodles   372.7 #715 6-6-12 9:28PM Like  Reply
Not possible to see everything in a day. We had 7 and barely made it through everything! Hollywood studios was my favorite park followed by animal kingdom. - missyandpaul  410.0 #637 6-6-12 11:10PM
I could do it...pick one or two highlights from each park. Utilize fast passes and the Disney bus system. - chrissykins   825.5 #275 6-6-12 9:31PM Like  Reply
My sister did that a few years ago since we live so far away she wasn't sure when she'd ever be back there. They saw as much as they could at all 4 parks and had an awesome time! Good luck! 😊 - MinnieMousewife   928.2 #245 6-6-12 9:33PM Like  Reply
Here's what you should do! Spend the day strolling around the World Showcase at EPCOT and get reservations for the California Grill during the Magic Kingdom fireworks. They pipe the music into the restaurant as you watch with an perfect view! - Nyghtngale   572.3 #417 6-6-12 9:40PM Like  Reply
After dinner go into the Magic Kingdom and watch the Electrical light parade to cap off the night. Maybe ride a few rides we don't have here at DL. - Nyghtngale  572.3 #417 6-6-12 9:41PM
Keep in mind, you can travel by monorail to all three locations in one day :) - Nyghtngale  572.3 #417 6-6-12 9:41PM
Fast passes for sure Chrissykins!!! And, I really wasn't thinking of trying to do more than one park in a day, but, if your sister did it and felt like it worked for her, maybe we should reconsider! Thanks for the comments! - 7mouskedoodles   372.7 #715 6-6-12 9:40PM Like  Reply
Wow, Nyghtngale, the Epcot idea sounds great, I didn't realize the monorail connects the parks, so I could see how we could go from one to another. But, it might be overwhelming trying to see it all, that is why I think we might do just one, but hearing that others can manage more than one is beginning to sound interesting... Think, think, think!!! Well, we do skip From Dland to California Adventure in a day! - 7mouskedoodles   372.7 #715 6-6-12 9:50PM Like  Reply
The monorail only connects to EPCOT, Magic Kingdom and the three monorail connected resorts (Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Contemporary). I suggested that "game plan" for you because it's romantic and it allows to you travel by monorail to all destinations. You can do two parks in one day, just don't over do it and plan ahead of time. :) If you have any questions please feel free to ask, WDW was my playground growing up. :) - Nyghtngale  572.3 #417 6-6-12 9:55PM
Since you've been to Disneyland I would recommend just spending the whole day at Epcot because it's completely different and you won't burn up time bouncing around parks. Magic Kingdom is very similar to DL so I'd say see something new. There's also a MW app and lounge for DW. - Westcoast   212.8 #1999 6-6-12 10:02PM Like  Reply
Thanks Nyghtngale! I appreciate your return comments! - 7mouskedoodles   372.7 #715 6-6-12 10:02PM Like  Reply
If your able to go to Disneyland often I would say not to go to the Magic Kingdom just because it is very similar to DL. Epcot has ALOT to do but not tons of rides. Hollywood studios is fun and we finished it in one day but again has many rides the same as Disneyland (star tours, tour of terror). And then animal kingdom has the animals of course but a few rides I'm dying to do haha. It's impossible to do everything in one day but i would say you could possibly do Hollywood studios and epcot together if you moved fast and miss a few things lol. Also check the hours of all the parks. If epcot closes at let's say 9 and the magic kingdom at 12am you could spend a few hours there as well. Or visit in the morning if it opens early (if your staying at a WDW they has have pretty sweet extra magic hours so check that out too. Finally have you checked out the WDW mouse wait? The people on that side would be able to help out as well! Ok that's my essay. Have fun! - DaisyCrazy   255.1 #1443 6-6-12 10:10PM Like  Reply
I agree epcot because magic kingdom is simillar to dl, animal kingdom is like a zoo with rides and the studio park reminds me of universal and epcot is unique - puddy77   267.3 #1338 6-6-12 10:12PM Like  Reply
Thanks DaisyCrazy and Puddy77! - 7mouskedoodles   372.7 #715 6-6-12 10:40PM Like  Reply
Impossible to see everything in a day or even a week - E-Ticket   1796.0 #116 6-6-12 10:48PM Like  Reply

if u want to see the 4 parks in one day, make sure to maximize your time. Dont do rides, but take a lot of pics on main structures. (the tree of life - animal kingdom; sorcerer hat - hollywood studios; spaceship earth - epcot; cinderella castle - magic kingdom) But again, time is very important here... - otilegna   2911.7 #61 6-7-12 1:33AM Like  Reply
My wife and I went in Nov,we stayed at the Universal portofino Hotel,it was very nice,we hit Disney for one day,Magic kingdom in the morning,Hollywood studios in the aft and finished with the night at Epcot,we did all the rides and attractions we wanted to,it was exhausting, and for us it was getting between the parks was pretty frustrating it takes a bit of time, you get so spoiled with the convenience of Dl and Dca. - Marko   4.7 #22313 6-7-12 1:54AM Like  Reply
