Quick question, I get sick on rides that spin (teacups, silly swings), does Mater's Junkyard Jamboree spin like the other rides do? Has anybody gotten motion sickness from it? Thanks in advance! 😄
Kinda like the ladybug buggies, it's spins but not like tea cups. Can I give you a hint on those rides after dizziness: place your hand in front of you and focus on it, real close to your eyes and slowly you'll get your equilibrium back, helps me every time. Believe me I needed it Friday night riding tea cups with scubasteve, madam leota, madsdad...they spun that thing around, I literally thought it was gonna fly off - MarshaMouse  2872.0 #15 6-17-12 6:10PM Like(1)  Reply
Thanks I never knew that. I have to try it. I NEVER go on, poor Emilie always ask. - LizOâ„¢  470.0 #259 6-17-12 6:17PM
Thanks! I'll have to try that next time! - BettyPoop  232.0 #1218 6-17-12 6:25PM
A dance teacher used to spin out my students and she taught them to do that and I must say it works really good! - MarshaMouse  2872.0 #15 6-17-12 7:25PM
I get really sick on tea cups too, and I loved the Mater ride! It was soo much fun! - HpplyEvrAftr  222.2 #1332 6-17-12 7:11PM Like(1)  Reply
Peppermint essential oil is very helpful too. And those acupressure wrist bands :-) - MelodyMouse  941.9 #93 6-17-12 7:22PM Like(1)  Reply
I haven't been on it yet but it reminds me of the scrambler ride that hey have at carnival or fairs - Marzipan13  202.9 #1586 6-17-12 6:00PM Like  Reply
Oh Nooo. That sucks :/ - NeverlandTink  421.4 #304 6-17-12 6:05PM
Umm, I suffer too but went on 5 X in a row during a CM preview. I wasn't sure I'd like it but it's really fun. You get whipped a little rather than spin like Tea Cups. - SUUZinOC  715.4 #140 6-17-12 6:08PM Like  Reply
It does spin but not in a fast circle like those other attractions. The circles are slow and it whips you around only at the end of the circle. - DisneyBride°O°  366.5 #381 6-17-12 6:09PM Like  Reply
I haven't rode it yet but from the looks of it, it sort of does resemble a scrambler but it did not seem to go fast at all. There were plenty of small children on the ride and didn't look scared - TikiJOSEsWingman  329.5 #478 6-17-12 6:09PM Like  Reply
I don't ride The Teacups too! =( - LizOâ„¢  470.0 #259 6-17-12 6:10PM Like  Reply
I dont ride teacups either. I cant stand carnival rides that go in circles over and over and over....(got dizzy). haha. I can jump out of planes, sky dive, repel, rollercoasers but cant stand the circle thing over and over. Matter Junkyard is not really like that, it does go in circle but not as fast as teacups, i think youll be okay - Goofy101  136.7 #2498 6-17-12 6:28PM Like  Reply
Its very mild, there's some "whipping" movement but no spinning. My husband gets motion sick from all rides that spin including Flicks Flyers but was fine on Mader's Juckyard Jamboree. - NikkiMickey  1588.6 #49 6-17-12 6:29PM Like  Reply
I can't ride the teacups because I get dizzy and motion sickness easily. Mater's Junkyard doesn't spin in those tight circles so I was fine. It was sooooo much fun. It kinda swings you and the circles are very wide so I didn't get dizzy at all. It was awesome. :) - Vegan7LuvsStitch  799.8 #118 6-17-12 6:38PM Like  Reply
Thanks for all the responses! It sounds like I should be fine, I'll take a Dramamine just to be safe 😜 - BettyPoop  232.0 #1218 6-17-12 6:44PM Like  Reply
Try Bonine instead. It doesn't make you sleepy :) - momtochipanddale  165.3 #2085 6-17-12 7:21PM
I agree with everyone else. Not the typical spinning like teacups. - PinkElephants  636.8 #170 6-17-12 7:23PM
