I always hold back complaining when it comes to having things searched, they are supposed to do that to keep dl safe ya know. - madsdad1120.8 #73 7-14-12 10:32AMLike(14) Reply
City Hall is the place to complain. Not on Mousewait. Its sad that with what's going on in the world they have to do security searches, but it keeps everyone safe at the parks. Please understand that Disney is just concerned for everyone's safety - ScooterMike1959.8 #35 7-14-12 10:35AMLike(5) Reply
Yes....keeping everyone safe so everyone can enjoy their day! 😄 - ohhhtoodles 365.2 #381 7-14-12 10:37AM
It's too early in the morning for this kind of ignorance... It's the same thing with flying and security. They have a job to do, and that job is to keep us safe. Don't like it, don't go, the parks will be that much more enjoyable without someone being negative because they think they are above security checks. - TheBudd357.3 #395 7-14-12 10:45AMLike(3) Reply
on our march trip Rachel was flipping out on airplane security for running her bag through the security check so many times, turns out she forgot she had a knife in a hidden pocket. I started pretending like I didn't know her just in case they were gonna question her, ha! - madsdad 1120.8 #73 7-14-12 10:49AM
lol madsdad. I just let the people do their job of doing their part in keeping us safe. If anything happened I bet we would blame them for it happening - ScarfGirl 551.6 #199 7-14-12 10:58AM
I'm not thrilled to see a post complaining as soon as I open MW. No, I don't think CMs are God, but I do understand that they're humans, working hard to ensure a safe and fun environment for the 1000s upon 1000s of people that walk through those gates everyday. I'm thankful that CM insisted you show her what's under the blanket. I can almost guarantee you were rude and argumentative, instead of being kind and respecting the request made of you. This is the world we live in. There are people who are evil and at the very least don't want to be honest and pay for an older child. Get over it and remember where you are fortunate enough to be right now, DL. - DisneyFanZoe1083.8 #77 7-14-12 11:45AMLike(3) Reply
Concurred upon on many levels. Well said, DFZ - TheBudd 357.3 #395 7-14-12 11:48AM
This comment was pretty rude. - Sharkbaitsmomma 117.9 #2757 7-14-12 11:50AM
My comment is not rude. Your comment is. Nobody is entitled to go to DL, so if you're lucky enough to go, then enjoy it. You don't like what I said, ignore it. - DisneyFanZoe 1083.8 #77 7-14-12 11:52AM
Actually I wasn't rude. I was too shocked with her attitude. As I said this wasn't at the bag check entrance it was at the gateinto Disneyland itself. This wasn't a question of whether or not I even had something or someone under the blanket. It was very rude on her behalf from the second i handed her my pass. Very disrespectful...
She was out of line. Even to the point when I was walking away she yelled out to me that I can rock the kid back to sleep if that's what I choose. Cm on people that IS out of line. Cm's should never be allowed to speak to anyone that rudely. Once again I was shocked as I am at the parks a lot. And I have family who are cm's. Yes as sharkbaitsmomma said I am complaining about the cms attitude not the fact that she wanted to check the stroller. I took my daughter and son today. 8 months and 21 months. It was daddy's day out w my babies. We did have fun. As for whoever commented on the fact that its dl and the kids gonna be awake...obviously u don't have kids! - mattc 180.8 #1851 7-14-12 4:28PM
Yes, please go to city hall and complain. Then delete this post. In the FAQs it states no complaining. Even though you just had a bad experience, don't let it ruin your day. 95% of us on here would rather be there then home/work/school. - Armenda983.6 #89 7-14-12 10:33AMLike(1) Reply
Yes totally agree with Armenda :) go to city hall and after you go an have yourself a awesome, fun day!! I know I would rather been at the park than at home..have a magical day!! - LovelyTiggerGirl 249.8 #1008 7-14-12 10:42AM
I'm surprise they didn't ask u were his ticket was, when we took my son at the age of two they accused me of trying to sneak him in that I was lying about his age the people wa t the gate r very rude, but anyways don't let it ruin your day - DOPEY138.3 #7408 7-14-12 10:59AMLike(1) Reply
Thanks...some people think cm's are gods or something...they make mistakes as we all do then they should be held accountable! - mattc 180.8 #1851 7-14-12 11:15AM
Wow I hope you do that is not ok at all don't care if its security. I was told when hired never ever to do that its calling the guest a liar. I'm so so sorry. But please don.t let it ruin your day. Tell city hall then move foreward and have a fun wonderful day - cmdlgurl255.5 #951 7-14-12 11:02AMLike(1) Reply
So confused isn't the child going to be awake anyway? It's DISNEYLAND! - cdub75Disneyteacher193.4 #1709 7-14-12 11:02AMLike(1) Reply
Unless it was something blatantly improper I don't think I could ever go complain about a CM, have I had some step outside the friendly box...Yes but I also know how often I have bad days @ work so im always willing to give a CM a pass for not being "in character" so to speak on occasion. - donnievegas1127.5 #72 7-14-12 11:03AMLike(1) Reply
Well said senor Vegas :-) - uscdisneyteacher 3087.2 #14 7-14-12 11:13AM
Hey, can we get some sort of TSA security FastPass on our APs to bypass this? Background check, and if your squeaky clean, see ya! I'm goin on rides!!! - DiscoSteve252.3 #984 7-14-12 11:13AMLike(1) Reply
Lol like that one that you pay for at the airports. - ScarfGirl 551.6 #199 7-14-12 11:14AM
😳😳😳 Don't blame the CM!!! She is doing her job for checking under the blanket. Blame the people who try to bring in booze, drugs, weapons, and other destructive things--they are the reason why DL has to have a security checkpoint. This is 2012, not 1912. - Spoonful_O_Sugar435.8 #283 7-14-12 11:19AMLike(1) Reply
It wasn't at security check it was at Disneylands gate - mattc 180.8 #1851 7-14-12 11:24AM
I know--I'm not saying it was; I'm saying that there are certain precautions that are necessary. Perhaps she could have been kinder, and of course complain about that of you feel it's necessary, but she just asked to see under the blanket for safety purposes. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 7-14-12 11:31AM
People likely try to smuggle their older kids in for free in a artillery covered with a blanket by saying they're seeping. I'm sure the cm was just doing theie job by checking. - Mimmy 1405.4 #57 7-14-12 11:36AM
😂😂😂 I was trying to make sense of that, lol! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 7-14-12 11:40AM
So sorry your day started poorly. I hope it gets better from here and you have a magical day. - sewedna84.4 #3214 7-14-12 10:32AMLike Reply
i actually think they should do even more searching. what if you have a gun in your back pocket? how will they kno? how come they dont have those metal detector things they have at six flags? cuz yeah one might say its disney but theres a lot of creeps out there...just my opinion... - annjay07134.5 #2525 7-14-12 10:51AMLike Reply
They had me lift my shirt up one day. I was like "excuse me?" they're like "we need to see your waistband". Huh? Guess I look like one of those crazy white guys. And here's a tip, I don't stuff my .45 in my waistband ala Magnum PI style! It would be holstered. - DiscoSteve 252.3 #984 7-14-12 11:00AM
I agree.. perfect example.. wait for it..... LEAP DAY!!! Even the Grad Nite evenings that I was at the park for. Teens and super immature adults were smuggling all kinds of contraband in because security can only do so much. I know for a fact people smuggle stuff in in diaper bags and strollers because I have friends, co-workers, and :::sigh::: even family who admits to doing it. Just shameful. - TheBudd 357.3 #395 7-14-12 11:01AM
exactly it gives everyone a chance to sneek in a gun... - annjay07 134.5 #2525 7-14-12 11:10AM
discosteve and this is the reason they should have those metal detectors because you just got descriminated right there for your looks :/ - annjay07 134.5 #2525 7-14-12 11:13AM
didn't they have those metal detector wands before? - ScarfGirl 551.6 #199 7-14-12 11:15AM
Just for security. It's like a police searching you before entering the airport, don't worry officer it's not a gun/knife/etc. ok sir i believe you carry on. - chris.2507.1 #24 7-14-12 10:54AMLike Reply
It's unfortunate that this happened. Perhaps it was the way the CM spoke. But I agree with the others here, searches are now a part of our world. I travel a lot for work and while it's a hassle, and often feels intrusive, I feel safer for it. - Gia782.1 #119 7-14-12 11:02AMLike Reply
I believe the cast member did her jOb but could have gone about it in a nicer way, because that is what makes Disneyland Disneyland, the politeness of the cast members!!!!! - TinkGirl003.4 #17848 7-14-12 11:43AMLike Reply
I of anyone know about security checks, I do. I was stationed in Jersey durduring 9/11. Yes the CM should needs to check the stroller BUT there is a thing called tacked which the CM did not have. We pay alot of money for a magical experience, I for one expect it! I ALSO believe that the CMs have a right to be treated with the same respect that I expect. Go to city hall, complain just make sure have the CMs name. Make sure you never never get a tude with a CM when they make you made cause it gets theCM in more trouble that way.

What is wrong with you? Why are you offering advice on how to get a person in more trouble at their job?? That's ridiculous. - DisneyFanZoe 1083.8 #77 7-14-12 11:46AM
I agree with Rexy750 and to be honest some cast members are not kind and should be repromended. People pay a lot and a lot of families save for a long time to go. Yes keep the park safe BUT if the stroller made it through security ok its not the job of the main gate to do that. And btw I'm one of the people that think people should walk through an xray machine or metal detector to get into the park - cmdlgurl 255.5 #951 7-14-12 11:51AM
I've never had a problem with a rude CM. Ever. But I'm usually far too happy to worry about anything other than the fun I'm having. - DisneyFanZoe 1083.8 #77 7-14-12 11:55AM
Seems to me this mouse waiter is just saying that the CM was rude. She wasn't complaining about being checked but it seems like she was upset by the attitude of the CM. I myself have never had a CM give me attitude like this but it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. - Sharkbaitsmomma117.9 #2757 7-14-12 11:46AMLike Reply
