I showed my daughter America Sing on YouTube and she loved it. I told her it use to be where innoventions exist and she asked me why they took it out. " I don't know, it was my favorite attraction as a child!" so what was the reason? Anyone know? Would they ever bring it back?
Well, it was supposed to be updated in the 80s and the concept and designs are still around where you can see them..Marc Davis who did the characters for that attraction and many others had developed an all new America sings type show in the same building and stages called the Inter Galactic Revue and as they were prepping to make the turn over it was also along the same exact time as Splash Mountain was being built. Splash mountain eneded up being WAY more expensive than they thought and was behind schedule so Splash Trumped the new show and the animations they were to use as new Alien characters and they plopped them into Splash Mountain..After that the idea was shevled for the new show and the building set empty for years and like butter said it was a break room with the seats still there and the sets on stage were minus the characters..once they did the New tomorrowland they threw in innoventions because it was funded by sponsors and made use of the building.... - Dave 8673.0 #2 8-1-12 11:31PMLike(7) Reply

America sings had just run its course since I believe it was for Americas Bicentenial. However if she loved the animals in the show then she wont have to look far to see them. See in order to help with the cost of this (at that time) soon to be built new attraction Tony Baxter suggested that they reuse the animatronics from America Sings and put them in Splash Mountain instead of having them demolished or used for spare parts.
