Annual Passholders should really get to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for free, especially the Premium Passholders. I've never been and would really like to go but its just so darn expensive for a family of four
😳 As passholders, we aren't really entitled to anything other than park entrance. Besides that, if you can afford Premium passes, you should be able to afford Halloween Party tickets if you want to go. - Spoonful_O_Sugar   714.0 #334 9-15-12 4:17PM Like(9)  Reply
some people pay their Pass with the Monthly Installment plan. Some didn't renew their pass at all. :( - otilegna  2865.1 #60 9-15-12 4:20PM
I respectfully disagree that last statement, honestly. We have been Premium Annual Passholders for multiple years now and this has been the first year we could find it in our budget to afford the Halloween Party tickets. Now I don't think it should be free or included but I do think there should be at least one night that is substantially cheaper for Premium or Premier Passholders (i.e. a $25 night). - CupcakeJedi  391.5 #665 9-15-12 4:22PM
Lol, that last statement did come out a little bratty--sorry! I think a heavily discounted party seems like a nice idea. :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  714.0 #334 9-15-12 4:24PM
Yes I know that we aren't entitled but it would be pretty nice since we are paying for the highest pass And just because we have the premium doesn't necessarily mean we can afford the tickets too, money is kind of tight right now, I don't even think we are getting our passes renewed - DisneyDork95  206.2 #2074 9-15-12 4:29PM
I have been an AP for twenty years with the exception for the first year I was a CM. Disney could cut loose with a few more discounts like this. We are paying more and used to many more discounts and freebies before. BTY not complaining here just stating a fact. lol - splashphotoCM  885.6 #251 9-15-12 4:40PM
Again,I apologize that my statement came out sounding judgmental. We didn't renew our passes either--they are luxuries that we hope to have again in the future. We could have renewed them, but we would have had to stretch our budget to the max to get down to DL often enough to make the passes worth it (gas, food, hotel, etc). This is how we looked at it: If money is so tight that there's no wiggle room in our monthly budget or room for "extras," then (for us) it isn't the best idea to have the passes. We didnt want to take the risk of needing that money for things that matter more. It ended up that we did need that money for an unforeseen expense, so I'm happy with the decision we made last spring. Every family is different, though. :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  714.0 #334 9-15-12 4:54PM
No need to apologize SoS. No harm no foul. lol - splashphotoCM  885.6 #251 9-15-12 4:59PM
Lol :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  714.0 #334 9-15-12 5:02PM
i will agree to CupcakeJedi, they should put at least a very big discount for the Premium and Premier Passholders (those pass are kinda expensive!) - otilegna  2865.1 #60 9-15-12 6:13PM

I know who the 3rd world is, but who's 2nd? lol - splashphotoCM  885.6 #251 9-15-12 5:01PM
Lol - DisneyDork95  206.2 #2074 9-15-12 5:04PM
Not even CM's get in for free. - lostgirl7988   697.8 #342 9-15-12 4:12PM Like(3)  Reply
I'm willing to pay for the party because I know how much fun it is and all of the extra things are worth it. - BaseballMickey  9157.5 #14 9-15-12 8:09PM
I can see where your coming from with this but unfortunately I don't think it would ever be free. If AP's were free to these parties it would be a madhouse. Quoting Lucy Ricardo "That's the way the ball bounces" - iamdugsmaster   878.8 #253 9-15-12 4:38PM Like(2)  Reply
Yea I guess it would be pretty crazy. - DisneyDork95  206.2 #2074 9-15-12 4:43PM
It would be insane. Before it started at Disneyland, the crowds for just the fireworks were ridiculous. We waited hours. - bluefairy  643.8 #371 9-15-12 7:50PM
I agree with the original comment. Paying $450 a year should include 1 night for Halloween. Especially with this years' price increase! Thank goodness I renewed 2 weeks before the price increase but we can't afford to renew next year :( - dccms12   28.1 #6771 9-15-12 5:04PM Like(2)  Reply
Agreed! - FrankenWeenieVelinee   5128.7 #34 9-15-12 4:16PM Like(1)  Reply
The $46 isn't bad. I wish there was a kids price at least. - CherryTreeLane   460.4 #549 9-15-12 4:20PM Like(1)  Reply
I have to disagree. This is an after hours party. If passholders were free the parties would be crowded. This is an exclusive event that I don't mind paying for. That dread park knotts doesn't let their passholders into their Halloween parties for free either. - aidensmama   340.3 #808 9-15-12 4:34PM Like(1)  Reply
Ahh ur right! The Halloween Nights of Knotts and een the Halloween thing of Universal studios, passholders only get a discounted tickets - otilegna  2865.1 #60 9-15-12 7:35PM
The money that you pay, seems to me, goes for all the cool extra things party goers get to enjoy. Think of what you'd pay for candy alone... My two cents worth 😊 - WishIWereThere   332.4 #845 9-15-12 5:21PM Like(1)  Reply
Oh yea that's true - DisneyDork95  206.2 #2074 9-15-12 5:31PM
So, so we get things other than candy? Like caramel apples or any of the other fun treats you can get in the parks? I'd rather have those than generic candy myself. I know we get to take pix with villains. Any other goodies? - MacaronMerida  4740.1 #39 9-15-12 5:54PM
Exactly. All that candy, all those extra cm shifts, the special fireworks, the photo op areas, that isn't cheap. If this type of thing was open to all, our ap prices would go up even more than they already have. Plus, the park is already dressed beautifully for the holiday and everyone, passholder or not, can enjoy that. - bluefairy  643.8 #371 9-15-12 7:54PM
They should just let me in because I'm ScooterMike - ScooterMike   1963.0 #102 9-15-12 5:47PM Like(1)  Reply
Don't you get a discount? - DisneyVacationLover   623.7 #384 9-15-12 4:09PM Like  Reply
nope! - Minnis2Society  382.4 #683 9-15-12 4:14PM
I thought they did a $10-15 discount? - Spoonful_O_Sugar  714.0 #334 9-15-12 4:18PM
Yes there are select discout nights. - Duchess_SMK  6632.8 #23 9-15-12 4:19PM
*discount - Duchess_SMK  6632.8 #23 9-15-12 4:20PM
I called and they said there was not! Hmmm! I will have to check again. - Minnis2Society  382.4 #683 9-15-12 4:27PM
I got my tickets for $46 each I believe with ap discount. - aidensmama  340.3 #808 9-15-12 4:31PM
You have to sign in with your AP account to get the discounted price - Almazamaa7  43.7 #5469 9-15-12 4:38PM
The discount is just a reduced cost on certain nights I believe. Available to all. - splashphotoCM  885.6 #251 9-15-12 4:42PM
Splashphotocm, pass holders get an even lower price than the prepurchase rate on select nights. :) - aidensmama  340.3 #808 9-15-12 4:45PM
I got my tickets for $46 a piece that's with the discount. It's not bad at all. - Almazamaa7   43.7 #5469 9-15-12 4:14PM Like  Reply
We just got an AP special $46 for select nights of the Halloween Party at Disneyland from Sept 28-Oct 31. ($18 discount). Came in the mail. - keunyoun   123.3 #3344 9-15-12 4:43PM Like  Reply
Has anyone here been to the Halloween party? What special things are there and how are crowds and lines for rides? - jmotajr   7.8 #14636 9-15-12 4:47PM Like  Reply
Lots of candy stations a parade a special fireworks show two dance parties with characters. All rides are a walk on practically except ghost galaxy - princessVanessa  384.3 #680 9-15-12 4:55PM
This is copied from the AP Hotline: Save on Tickets Save when you buy tickets in advance! On select nights, Annual Passholders save $18. No ticket is required for Guests 2 and under. - splashphotoCM   885.6 #251 9-15-12 4:54PM Like  Reply
That's $18 off the $64 ticket price which comes out to $46. which is the cheapest AP's can get. - splashphotoCM  885.6 #251 9-15-12 4:58PM
Disney makes up for it by having special AP events YEAR ROUND. So I'm cool having I pay extra once a year. 😁 - Waites4DodgerEars_CM   1002.5 #231 9-15-12 4:55PM Like  Reply
Yes that's true - DisneyDork95  206.2 #2074 9-15-12 4:56PM
I'm 50 / 50 on the issue. Part of the cost of the Halloween Party ticket gets you in during normal operating hours and covers parking for the night. I feel like I have already paid for those things. However, the after hours events are all extras that are not included in my premium pass. I was bummed to find out that I get the same discount with my Disney Visa card as I get with my annual pass. My Visa doesn't cost me anything, but I do pay for the pass. It would be nice if the passholder discount was more than the credit card discount. - VanDisney   342.3 #800 9-15-12 5:40PM Like  Reply
Well the visa does have some pretty high interest fees. - aidensmama  340.3 #808 9-15-12 7:21PM
We paid full price for our Halloween and now have decided to get Annual Passes when we come down for it. What I am wondering is if they will discount our passes the difference of the AP price? Every little bit helps these days:). Guess it will not hurt to ask? - TigrLvnMomma   159.7 #2731 9-15-12 7:15PM Like  Reply
No they wont you still have tp pay for the tickets even if you have a pass. - Apples2  667.7 #360 9-15-12 7:32PM
Doubtful since you have already purchased your tix. - MacaronMerida  4740.1 #39 9-15-12 7:36PM
