I just had a tip I wanted to post. For those who live in California and have a Safeway or Von's club card...we collect gas points to use to get $$ off a tank of gas. You earn 1 point for every $100 you spend, but when you buy gift cards, you earn 4X points. We purchased our Disney passes this summer, plus since we were staying at the Disneyland Hotel, I also bought Disney gift cards that I loaded up with $500 each to pay for hotel room, plus food and other merchandise that we would buy in the park. So far, we have managed to get $1 off nearly every tank of gas we have bought for the past couple months and expect to do the same for the next few! (We have two more trips planned this year.) Hopefully someone else can use this tip. I also used a credit card that gives me cash back when I made these purchases. It does feel good to save a few bucks these days! (I also do this with other store cards, not just the Disney ones. If I am buying something on Amazon, I will purchase some Amazon gift cards to pay for it with.)
