Just saw that the space shuttle will be flying over the Southland on Friday. News recommended a good place to view would be Disneyland. Does any MW's know what time. Think I may need to pay a visit on Friday just for this. Happy Wednesday!

NASA will not confirm when or exactly where the shuttle will fly over. However, it is being announced all over news channels that it will be flying over Disneyland, Boeing in Seal Beach, JPL in Pasadena and landing at LAX by 11 am. - aprilinjune4380.7 #352 9-19-12 8:42AMLike(1) Reply
Thanks, I will get there early then. How exciting that will be to see! - LynniePooh 238.0 #1131 9-19-12 8:43AM
It won't be landing at LAX. It will be flying over Hawthorne which is in that area but once it done with the flyovers it will be landing at Edwards AFB and then traveling through the streets to the science center. At least this is what I read on their site. - TikiJOSEsWingman 329.5 #473 9-19-12 9:15AM
There's so much info and for security nothing is being confirmed. Guess we will wait and see. - aprilinjune4 380.7 #352 9-19-12 9:39AM
It's landing at Edwards then flying over the capital and down here to land at LAX. It will be moved my truck from LAX to the California Science Center. - KissDclown 1088.1 #76 9-19-12 5:55PM

Thanks for posting! It gave me goosebumps! I'm hoping to see something like this for the Disneyland Resort! - LifeyLand 42.2 #3920 9-19-12 10:04AM
Looks like they added now to the story that it will go by Malibu, Huntington Beach, The Queen Mary, LA city hall, besides everywhere else. It appears it will be coming from the Griffith Observatory before Disneyland which means maybe flying down the 5? And it lands at LAX, and no one is being allowed to park around the sides streets of LAX like they usually do. Then in October they will move it to the Science Museum and we can watch it be moved to. I would love to see it at DL or over the ocean too. Take lots of photos wherever you are!! - secretagentangel660.9 #156 9-19-12 5:29PMLike Reply
It's going to be at Edwards for one night on Thursday. On Friday it flies over to us and then head north to Sacramento. It's being taken around to be showed off.. a cruising tour, if you will. It doesn't start its slow crawl from LAX to Science center till early next month. - Dipper_Pines123.5 #2668 9-19-12 5:48PMLike Reply

If it stays on schedule, it will fly over D-land north to south at 1500 feet, about 230 mph, at 11:35 A.M., that is the REAL info!!!! - junglecruisn135.6 #9550 9-19-12 6:12PMLike Reply
But its supposed to be in LA at 11am. - RickChavez 2177.5 #30 9-19-12 6:14PM
It is flying over LAX on the way to other sites, then back to land there later. Sounds like they are adding more daily, so hopefully tomorrow we will know where and when. They are afraid people will stop on the freeway to watch!! - secretagentangel 660.9 #156 9-19-12 6:25PM
Over Santa Monica pier at 11AM, fly over some areas north first, then down south to see Mickey, landing LAX at 11:59. - junglecruisn135.6 #9550 9-19-12 6:18PMLike Reply
