Sad news for Disneyland custom watch collectors - the watch program in the Fortuosity Shop had been entirely cut! News is that the decision came out of Florida... While Ca's program has been doing well, apparently Fl's has not. I have a custom watch collector for over 20 years - the art is incredible - as you receive a full piece of the art for framing along with your watch. I have a few original pieces - art included and they are stunning. If you go by the shop - you will see an empty window with mo artist there. This is a sad day.
NOOOOOOO!!!!!! Marches my spotted dress down to City Hall to voice my concern. - MrsMears   217.1 #1687 10-27-12 12:56PM Like(1)  Reply
I'll say it again: One Disney doesn't work. We are not Florida. They are not California. - flukefan   270.5 #1073 10-27-12 5:55PM Like(1)  Reply
Noooo. I've always wanted one! - TikiJOSEsWingman   332.4 #670 10-27-12 11:14AM Like  Reply

Im a watch enthusiast and besides its obvious function, a watch can be a really nice accent piece in daily wear. Try rubberbanding your phone to your wrist and see how nice that would look. To answer your question, I still use a watch. - IamThePan1  -0.2 #165844 10-27-12 11:26AM
Don't tick off the watch enthusiasts (pun intended). - IMissDisney  1205.3 #124 10-27-12 11:32AM
What happens when your phone dies? You start to wish you had a watch then. - Sharkgrrl19  240.8 #1382 10-27-12 12:09PM
Yep, I started wearing watches again because it was annoying to get my phone out. Plus watches are cool. - ShariRenee  6043.1 #14 10-27-12 12:13PM
Looking at your phone for the time is a fad. Watches are timeless, pun intended. - MrsMears  217.1 #1687 10-27-12 12:56PM
I have to use a watch at work - Cinderkelly  55.7 #4297 10-27-12 1:27PM
I wear a watch because it looks a lot more professional than pulling my phone out to check the time. - tiggertwin  330.3 #681 10-27-12 1:35PM
To say that I love watches would be an understatement. Seven years ago I worked at Fossil for almost a year as a second job for fun. Employees got a free watch if our store won a contest for most units sold in our district/zone every month. In the 10 months I worked there I received six free watches and bought another six watches with a half off discount. I was already addicted to watches before working there and by them time I left had a total of 60 watches in my collection. Most of them are put away in a box but I still wear five of them regularly throughout the week. - KermitFan13  653.6 #268 10-27-12 5:10PM
That is sad news! - LisaMouse7531   410.1 #493 10-27-12 11:31AM Like  Reply
This is really disappointing. If you would like to see this stay, or have some around, visit City Hall and let your opinion be known. It may help change their decision! - IDVandalSkipperCM   2339.2 #52 10-27-12 11:33AM Like  Reply
Thank you great idea. I will next week when I am there. I loved that spot and remember saving up to buy my dad one many years ago. - ShariRenee  6043.1 #14 10-27-12 12:13PM
Why do they have to cut our program just because Florida's isn't doing well?? Not fair :( - JRDrummer_CM   875.4 #185 10-27-12 12:31PM Like  Reply
Love looking at the watches. - chipanddalefan   725.9 #229 10-27-12 12:42PM Like  Reply

That is so very sad. We took a picture of that empty chair because my good friend's Dad was an artist and that was his chair. He passed away a few year ago. How very sad that it will not be there anymore. 😥 - adisneyfamily   862.3 #192 10-27-12 5:24PM Like  Reply
I did go by City Hall today to express my sadness. I also requested a hard address to send a "real" letter to Disney. Please pass your opinion on to City Hall if you disagree w/this decision. Peace- - Sfarrell   82.1 #3723 10-27-12 5:47PM Like  Reply

That's a shame. I miss when the Fortuosity shop sold mostly watches. Will be sad not to see the artists in the window at work. - Mimmy   1442.3 #100 10-27-12 8:30PM Like  Reply
If anyone is interested in trying to save the watch shop program - please go by City Hall and let them know your thoughts!! - Sfarrell   82.1 #3723 11-18-12 10:31PM Like  Reply
Florida is known as the F word backstage. We get the dumbest decisions handed down to us. They tried to take away our winter wear. Their reasoning was we don't need it, why do you. Have any of those execs tried to greet children in 40 degree weather wearing a green mini dress. I think not! Florida, harumph! - AWholeNewWorld   321.0 #724 11-18-12 10:59PM Like  Reply
😳 That's terrible. However, I think disney keeps an eye on mw, so just be careful about criticizing the mouse, okay? 😁 - bluefairy  643.3 #278 11-19-12 12:41AM
