Earl of Sandwich Italian cold cut. Very good, is actually a hot sub like quiznos. The bun is excellent and soft and toasted, lots of meat but no substitutions and didn't come with lettuce or onion. Tomatoes were on it. I rated this an 6. All sandwiches are discounted today for $5.65 including tax. 20 minute wait time and staff was friendly.

All Togo's 6" sandwiches average $5.59, EOS are $6.99 each, they were not flexible about substitutions and since I don't care for mortadella I asked for ham or capicolla and he said no, so I just said to leave it off, he said, well now they'll have to physically remove it making me think that all the meats were pre packaged together. Personally I like Togo's Italian better as it's a cold cut, I don't like the idea that all their sandwiches are hot and toasted, and the no lettuce and onions was a fail for me. - splashphotoCM  880.9 #100 10-30-12 9:34PM Like(3)  Reply
Thanks for the review. I too like lettuce. I was curious , so thanks! - 7mouskedoodles  161.1 #2137 10-30-12 9:41PM
none of the sandwiches have lettuce and onions or just some? - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1762.5 #43 10-30-12 9:42PM
I think I'll be ordering a salad when I go, not sure I like the idea of a premade no substitution sammie. Thanks for the info and review. - Linzee  515.1 #227 10-30-12 10:17PM
@THAThmacif--some do and some don't. Basically right now they're making them in advance because of the rush and can't custom make any. I'd hope in the future once it slows down that they'll be able to add veggies on to sandwiches if you request. - IDVandalSkipperCM  1290.2 #63 10-30-12 10:33PM
Great review!! - iamdugsmaster  756.6 #132 10-31-12 12:50AM
Thanks for the review. I think I'll be skipping this place. I like more options with my sandwiches. And I don't like them hot. - MrsSchnooks  567.6 #193 10-31-12 1:28AM
Great review! I would post a review too, but I was so hungry and forgot to take a pic of my food :( - BaseballMickey_CM  2787.3 #16 10-30-12 2:04PM Like(2)  Reply

Thank you, but it sounds like an ok sandwich shop. What's the hype all about? - MyPark  943.6 #91 10-30-12 2:06PM Like  Reply
Well, its the first one in CA. The closest one from here is in Vegas - BaseballMickey_CM  2787.3 #16 10-30-12 2:08PM
Yes just ok but I think people are so excited because there is not a lot of reasonably priced food available (especially for D regulars and employees) - ShariRenee  1505.1 #50 10-30-12 2:10PM
I'd like to try it, but I'll wait until the lines go down. Yesterday looked insane. - MyPark  943.6 #91 10-30-12 2:12PM
I'm personally excited about it because there aren't many place in the resort to get a decent sandwich with lots of options. - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #106 10-30-12 3:12PM
If the bread is exceptional , then that might be the catch. The bread can either make or break a sandwich. ( I also like to load my sandwich with veggies, and chips!) - 7mouskedoodles  161.1 #2137 10-30-12 9:59PM
Ok probably a dumb question, but are the sandwiches as good as Togos? Don't live in cal anymore but I grew up loving Togos, especially their #9. - jjdq  326.7 #489 10-30-12 2:43PM Like  Reply
Togos with a Quizno's twist. Better than Subway for sure. - ShariRenee  1505.1 #50 10-30-12 2:47PM

Just had Togo's Italian sandwich for lunch today. Had the Togo's Turkey and avocado two days ago. Sandwiches taste so good to me right now! - IDVandalSkipperCM  1290.2 #63 10-30-12 3:13PM
Yummy.. Togo's Turkey and avocado was my favorite when I used to live in CA. Oooh how I miss Togo's. - DisLUVney  333.4 #451 10-30-12 3:38PM
After reading this, I'll probably give it a try, but I dislike Subway, Quiznos, and Togos. - onezerohero  147.2 #2323 10-30-12 3:41PM

having a decade of deli under my belt (Italian and 2 gourmet delis) I feel that a sandwich can be so simple, yet delicious IF made with the right ingredients. You can stack it with sub par stuff and it still won't be good. Start with amazing bread. If you are going to do an Italian sandwich, that is not the place to skimp and use a turkey-salami type of meat. And real cheeses. (oh I could go on and on!! 😂😂) sandwiches are best and most flavorful after sitting for a good 15 minutes so that the flavors can meld.👌👌 - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1762.5 #43 10-30-12 9:54PM
@thatchurro a great explanation! I'm hungry for a good sandwich now. Can't imagine a sandwich without lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc. Wish I had a Togos nearby. - jjdq  326.7 #489 10-30-12 10:00PM
Togos was my first job! Hard to beat a #9! - piratelife4me  326.7 #488 10-30-12 10:29PM
We had them when we were in Florida. They were good. Glad they are in Disneyland. - Eraf61  264.6 #870 10-30-12 3:37PM Like  Reply
