So, what is the appropriate way to approach a fellow MWer that you recognize in the parks? I think I've seen some...but didn't know exactly what to say. (Excuse me, are you on mousewait?)...seems a little weird!
First thing, you can easily spot of MWer when you see a white iPhone cable coming out of their pocket or bag and is connected to their phone. Also, they'll be constantly looking down at their phone. If you see one, just say "hi! Are you from MW?? I'm (name)." - BaseballMickey_CM5044.1 #12 11-15-12 9:57PMLike(5)Reply
I like to fanny smack the cute ones and sucker punch the snarky ones. Then there's the sweet ones, who I like to hug. And if they're big enough to catch me, I jump into their arms. - LittleAprilShowers546.5 #275 11-15-12 10:07PMLike(2)Reply
You can pretty much walk up to anybody with a New Trent or at one of the MW outlets we know about and it's a sure bet it's a MW'er so no problem. I was charging in bathroom on pier & lady came up & asked if I was MW. - ShariRenee3248.3 #24 11-15-12 10:00PMLike(1)Reply
I always yell " I spy a MWer!" If they turn I'm right, if not I pretend I was talking to someone else. Lol. Most people that spot me just scream my name. 😂 - SueBayou2019.4 #50 11-15-12 10:06PMLike(1)Reply
Just say "Supercalifragilistic"... A true Disney fan will be compelled to finish it, and if they're not a MouseWaiter, introduce them to the Club... - timetraveler2442338.7 #577 11-15-12 10:36PMLike(1)Reply
The easiest way is to go to a meet up! Then u know everyone is from MW! - GreenLantern746.4 #187 11-15-12 11:58PMLike(1)Reply
I go right up to them and introduce myself. And yes, I have received many hugs in return! - Bo22374.5 #488 11-15-12 9:55PMLikeReply
I'm always terrified at first so before I go and do it I stop, take a deep breath, and then approach with a "Hi, are you from MW?" Only once did I fail. - iamdugsmaster878.3 #147 11-15-12 9:57PMLikeReply
So would it be weird if I made a sign that said MW and just sat down somewhere and waited? - mousejedi295.9 #783 11-15-12 10:08PMLikeReply
i had two misses before I landed me an authentic MWer. The first two I just asked "have you heard of MouseWait?" becasue they were talking about wait times. Person said no and then I just went on explaining what the app was.
Then on my third try I knew there was a meetup at the cove and I recognized @CaraMiaPoohAKAFace. I was a little nervous, went up to her and ask, "Are you on MouseWait?" She then said, "mousewait, what's that?" (really nice, right) So i laughed and told her i knew she was on it. we laughed about it and introduced ourselves.
Not all of them are as mean as Cara, lol ;) love you Cara! - MaidMiriam305.1 #736 11-15-12 10:12PMLikeReply
i have definitely introduced myself to someone i thought was a MWer but wasn't. doesn't hurt to ask! - nicoleface1738.2 #59 11-15-12 10:12PMLikeReply
At some point I think we can all safely assume that whomever we see at the park is a MW'r. - madsdad1726.9 #62 11-15-12 10:14PMLikeReply
I accept churros, cream cheese pretzels, and beignets. If you're nice, I'll share. - MyPark1067.1 #115 11-15-12 10:23PMLikeReply
I've seen a few MWer's around the parks too, but always a bit shy to approach. - LuvsMimisHouse429.2 #401 11-15-12 10:27PMLikeReply
