News for those Candy Cane lovers: DLR Candy Cane schedule: Mondays and Fridays at Disneyland, Tuesdays and Saturdays at DCA. Wristbands issued at park opening. (Via MousePlanet on Twitter)
You have to get a wristband to buy candy canes now? I'd rather go take a picture with Santa at DCA and get a little candy cane for free! :) - NotNKansasAnymor174.3 #1939 11-19-12 3:51PMLike(2) Reply
It's the specially made ones - brodysmommy 243.7 #1064 11-19-12 5:09PM
They are specially made, large candy canes which are sold in limited amounts for the holiday season.. Tons of people try to buy them, not necessarily to eat them either. - MEHlanie_Mouse 690.9 #146 11-19-12 5:18PM
My dear, welcome to MW- you are not in Kansas anymore! - MoonWillow 367.6 #377 11-19-12 6:28PM
These candy canes are HUGE compared to a standard one you can buy. I got mine last year and still have not eaten it. It is still wrapped in its bubble wrap and in my pantry - CM_Tamstirr 318.6 #528 11-19-12 7:57PM
The Disney candy making info line # is (714)781-0112, it tells you the schedule for the week of which candy will be made at the candy shop for each day of the week in Disneyland - HpplyEvrAftr221.9 #1335 11-19-12 7:39PMLike(1) Reply

We got it one year just to get one and keep. That's when you could get 2 so we opened and ate one and my parents kept the 2nd and put out every Xmas. Didn't taste special to me. But it was cool to say we for one :) - brodysmommy 243.7 #1064 11-19-12 2:09PM

I'm trying to find more info. If I do I'll post here immediately. - iamdugsmaster756.7 #133 11-19-12 4:37PMLike Reply
In past years, you went to DL early, and they gave out a very limited number of tickets or wristbands and you could come back later and buy one or two. no wristband no candy cane, and any left over would be first come first serve. these are the ones they made that day. but there are some exactly same size and recipe they put out all day until gone, just made in back kitchen, not in front of people. we tried both. Both are great. last year I think they were 13 or 14 dollars each with no discount given. They are about 14 inches or more long I think. Cool if they are doing it at both parks, call Disney main line, choose dining and there should be an option to find out days of sales. - secretagentangel669.3 #154 11-19-12 4:51PMLike Reply
Sorry if this was confusing, I meant they also put out some of the larger candycanes for sale at various locations. they are the same recipe as the ones you wait in line for but you don't get the magic of being chosen to buy the other ones!! - secretagentangel 669.3 #154 11-19-12 5:02PM
Well, I've never had one from the park, and while it sounds interesting, I think my dentist would greatly disapprove. lol - NotNKansasAnymor174.3 #1939 11-19-12 5:32PMLike Reply
I must have been lucky to get one the last 2 years. Both times I just saw them in the candy store on Main Street. - PrincessTianna83.1 #3236 11-19-12 5:59PMLike Reply
Pre-made canes are always for sale, but the canes that are handcrafted on specific mornings are in short supply. Chances are you bought the canes that are made down the street, off site. Still good, but not the same. - susieQzee 480.7 #247 11-19-12 6:23PM
Hmmm, I may have to try and get one...since my girls just got their teeth sealant on their teeth, I think we're good to go! Thank you for the information! - moomooluvr272.6 #806 11-19-12 6:19PMLike Reply
