I searched for the 2012 schedule for the dates of the Candy Cane with no luck except that Nov 23rd will be the first day they will be available at both the Main Street Candy store in DL and the Candy store on Buena Vista Street in DCA. To get one of these treats, you’ll need to arrive at the park before opening so that you can get a wristband. Disneyland typically gives out around 120 wristbands, one per person. Each visitor can purchase one of the $12.95 candy canes. If you have early entry on your tickets, you can often grab a wristband before the park opens to the public. It is common for early entry guests to grab the lion’s share of the wristbands before the general public can rush in.

Wristbands will be distributed at the locations at park opening. Since "park opening" can mean different things, I asked for clarification and was told the current-but-always-subject-to-change-plan is that wristbands will be distributed as soon as the park gates open to the general public. The schedule was supposedly created so as to offset the Magic Morning / Early Entry dates - the park will open at the same time for everyone. - Sarafina  400.7 #338 11-21-12 8:57AM

My secret is out! ;) I've never had one of the candy canes because I'm not there on the days they are available, but I've heard that are delicious and much better than store bought. These are the large handmade Holiday Candy Canes that are made by the candy makers. There are limited amounts and the go by the time people make the mad dash from the gates.
