Candlelight
#tips- How to see the show without a show ticket- Note: these are only tips and advice, meaning that you are not guaranteed a viewing spot. After working Candlelight this weekend, here are some tips I can offer...First, there are two large standing areas where guests can see the show. One is by the Emporium/Fire Station area (west side) and the other is in front of the Mad Hatter/Disney Showcase area (east side). Both areas are about the same size in area, but the west side is closer to the guest narrator, while the other is not. (usually the west side area is more full than the other). If you would like to see the 5:30 show (first performance), hang out and watch the last parade by the area of choice. Once the parade ends and clears, CMs will open the viewing areas. You will start to see a crowd gather and rush to these areas to claim a good spot. If you would like to see the 7:30 performance, its a little more involved. There are two yellow ramps on Main Street for this event: one is in front of the Main Street Magic Shop and the other on the corner of the Emporium. After the procession has passed for the 5:30 show, there will be two separate queues created in the street (yes, we had guests waiting during the first show in order to see the second show) right behind these two ramps. After the first performance had concluded and cleared, we will allow those waiting in these lines to find a bench/standing area for the 7:30 show. ***If you would like to see the procession only: guests are allowed to stand behind the ropes on Main Street, and out of the way of traffic, about 15-20 minutes to procession (which is around 5:10ish and 7:10ish). I was lucky enough to be standing on Main Street while the procession passed and it was amazing to watch. Also, there is also a small roped off viewing area between Coke (Coaster) Corner and the Corn Dog Cart where guests can see the procession enter the park and continue down Main Street. Finally, there are several benches on the west side of Town Square (by the Fire Station) which are on a first come, first serve basis. Just a heads up that between the hours of 4:00-9:00, the crowd traffic on Main Street WILL be slow (can't stress that enough) due to the complete closure of the street access and the controlled chaos that happens (so bring some patience). If you're in the park during this time, be sure to know exactly where you want to go because it will be one-way traffic all around Town Square. If you have questions, feel free to ask them below.
