On Wed, I treated my parent's to lunch at Carthay in celebration of their 40th Anniv!! Neither of them had been there before and they were both blown away by the beauty of it!! This was my first time having lunch there. We were all very pleased with our selections!! The top two pictures are what my dad ordered: Roasted Beet Salad-With Rocket Arugula, Warm Goat Cheese and Orange Chardonnay Vinaigrette, $12. This salad was unbelievable!! I love beets and the cheese was to die for!!! Short Rib Raviolis Sautéed in Sage Brown Butter-Autumn Squash, Portobello Mushrooms and Sprouts, $23. My dad loved it and he said it was very flavorful!!! The bottom left pic is what my mom ordered: Thai Winter Squash Broth-with Ginger, Lemongrass, Coconut and Cilantro with Glazed Chicken, $10. She really enjoyed it and it had a great Thai flavoring to it. (soup was all she wanted since I told her she would be eating a lot of biscuits!!!) The pic on the bottom right is what I ordered: Udon Noodle Bowl-with Red Thai Curry Broth, Shrimp and Mussels, Shiitake Mushrooms, Bok Choy, Daikon, Mint, Cashews, and fresh Coriander, $19. I am a seafood lover so it was wonderful!! The middle left pic is the Signature Carthay Fried Biscuits, $11, which of course were AMAZING!! The middle right pic is a treat they gave my parent's for their Anniv: Chocolate Truffles from Napa Rose!! They were delicious!! Oh and that's my parent's in the middle pic!! 😜 We had a lovely lunch and I hope to go back there with them again soon!!!
