and retailers are already selling spring/summer wear, but no more winter wear until it returns in july - pikarich 615.0 #177 12-26-12 10:25AM
Pikarich, don't you think that's the funniest thing, ill never understand it - MarshaMouse 2871.2 #15 12-26-12 10:33AM
I never understood that either esp in SoCal - Dave 8652.4 #2 12-26-12 10:37AM
@marshamouse yes,and in the big retail world I learned that retailers live a special calender were everything is ahead by like 6 months and planned out two years ahead => - pikarich 615.0 #177 12-26-12 10:37AM
Retailers have been doing that for forever. Always a season ahead - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 12-26-12 10:58AM
Lol the actual 12 days of Christmas are from 25 of December to the 6th of January which is kings day/epiphany anything before that is commercial marketing. - HollyGolightlyPrincess 385.2 #348 12-26-12 11:11AM
Traditionally, most people I know keep their trees up till Jan 2nd. We doπππ oh Dave. - Duchess_SMK 3291.4 #11 12-26-12 11:15AM
Hollygolightly is right. Christ Mass is a religious tradition and the 12 days of Christmas starts on dec. 25th and your tree should stay up till Jan 7th the day after the Epiphany. The commercialism is what the retailers pander. Either way it is a beaugtiful season. - Plumiegirl 3345.9 #10 12-26-12 1:26PM
Wouldn't it make sense if summer things were mainly sold in summer and winter things were mainly sold in winter?? - JRDrummer_CM 792.8 #119 12-26-12 1:42PM
No, because people want to prepare for an upcoming season. - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 12-26-12 1:49PM
But there's nothing worse than needing something for a season near the end of that season and not being able to find them. Really? Kids' sandals pulled off the shelf in Phoenix in AUGUST? sigh - jmgphx 322.7 #512 12-26-12 2:30PM

I just took my Christmas tree down, too. Christmas decorations always look cluttered after December 25th. - kss4tink 216.8 #1397 12-26-12 1:21PM
Well we didn't put any up this year! lol We are moving. - Armenda 994.6 #89 12-26-12 1:25PM
Oh, hehe, well at least you have nothing to take down then :). - kss4tink 216.8 #1397 12-26-12 1:49PM
Our tree came down today. I have a new idea. A 3D projection tree with smell-a-vision for those who don't want the hassle of a real or fake tree. Turn it on, turn it off. done. Yes I'm a humbugger. - mightymike10271.6 #813 12-26-12 1:17PMLike Reply
One of my students here at work just put lights on the wall and made it look like a Christmas tree. lol - Armenda 994.6 #89 12-26-12 1:18PM

Good thing it only last until Jan 6. But in my household Dec 26 was always the day to year down the decorations. I agree with you Dave. - LilSterner2656.0 #18 12-26-12 3:26PMLike Reply
But...I didn't get my tree up until Sunday! πππ - bluefairy627.2 #174 12-26-12 4:25PMLike Reply
