Hello! I'm contemplating getting annual passes but I'm doing some homework before presenting my case to the husband! Which type of pass do you (annual pass holders) have and how many times a year do you go? Thanks so much!!
Thank you all! I love mousewait, you're all awesome! So is my hubby, he is willing to try out passes for one year!!! - MamalovesMinnie4.8 #10931 12-26-12 6:04PMLike(2) Reply
I was thinking of getting the Deluxe and aim for at least 4 times, which is what we did this year. I want to join the ap family! :) - MamalovesMinnie4.8 #10931 12-26-12 5:11PMLike(1) Reply
You might want 1 premium for parking and discounts. - MeridasHair 318.8 #522 12-26-12 5:18PM
We have an rv and stay at the rv park which is walking distance. - MamalovesMinnie 4.8 #10931 12-26-12 6:00PM
Are you in CA? We have Had Deluxe's for the kids and I have a premium. We went over 75 times. - MeridasHair318.8 #522 12-26-12 5:07PMLike Reply
The CA passes are blocked a lot. Look at the calendars and see if you are blocked on days you would want to go on like Saturdays, holidays and the summer. This year we are all Premium. - MeridasHair 318.8 #522 12-26-12 5:17PM
That's a bummer! Just looked at the dates but I wouldn't object to planning around the blocked days. - MamalovesMinnie 4.8 #10931 12-26-12 6:01PM
I have the Premium. I live in San Diego and figure as long as I get there at least 5-6 times a year (which hasn't been a problem!), and considering it includes parking and discounts, it's paid for itself. I probably visit at least 1-2 times a month. - Gia782.1 #119 12-26-12 5:08PMLike Reply
I have a premium AP and have gone 18 times (not bad considering I am from NorCal). I feel my pass has been totally worth it and I will renew it when the time comes. - PrincessLeia263.4 #883 12-26-12 5:12PMLike Reply
I have a Premium pass and live in NV. My boyfriend and I go maybe 4 times a year with each visit being 2-3 days and some spur of the moment trips in between. It's definitely worth it for us because our passes pay for parking and we get discounts on food and merchandise with no blackout dates. - KermitFan13406.2 #320 12-26-12 5:13PMLike Reply
Deluxe I go at least 5+ times per year. I don't go on Sat so I don't need the premium. - Alice❤Eeyore15.7 #5553 12-26-12 5:18PMLike Reply
I have a deluxe since I'm from Arizona. I went 7 times with it last year 😊 - AshleyLynn22747.6 #136 12-26-12 5:20PMLike Reply
I have a premium and I actually lost count of how many trips I've made this year. I think it's about 11 trips total this year, each trip being more than one day. I live about 300 miles north of DL. - Jillian765.4 #128 12-26-12 5:25PMLike Reply
Hi, I'm also from central California and we have the premium passes we go every couple of months. With the premium pass you will have free parking and tons of discounts. You can get discounts in down town Disney as well. Best wishes and seasons greeting. - thisgirllovesdisney14.7 #5713 12-26-12 5:27PMLike Reply
Thanks! You too!! - MamalovesMinnie 4.8 #10931 12-26-12 6:03PM
Premium, 1 to 2 times a week. Approx. 80 visits per year. An excellent value. - timetraveler2442338.6 #435 12-26-12 5:33PMLike Reply
Premium is the way to go if you can afford it. Before I was a passholder, I thought I would only go once or twice a year, and was always afraid I would waste the money I put into the pass. After I got my pass, I ended up going over 25 times last year without even realizing it. You tend to go more often spur of the moment when you know you can. :) - Alicewhoareyou535.9 #209 12-26-12 6:04PMLike Reply
And like others have said, Premium allows you to go anytime you wish, including holidays and weekends, and includes parking. Not to mention all of the merchandise and dining discounts. - Alicewhoareyou 535.9 #209 12-26-12 6:06PM
My son and I are premium pass holders - Plumiegirl3322.0 #10 12-26-12 6:14PMLike Reply
We live in the Central Valley, and get the cheapest passes. We try to make 2-3 trips a year for 2-3 days at a time, four fays at Christmas. We have to plan around block out days, but at least my hubby doesn't have to fight for the prime vacation days at work, and the park is not stupidly busy when we go. We always get a hotel within walking distance, so parking is not a problem either. The short answer is, whatever works for you. - LittleAprilShowers471.0 #256 12-26-12 6:22PMLike Reply
I think you guys are talking me into getting passes for my daughter and me. We only live two hours away so it would be a easy day trip. - ambieloo83 4.7 #11145 12-26-12 6:30PM
We have Premium and go at least 12 time a year. - Boundin423.8 #298 12-26-12 6:29PMLike Reply
My family has 4 passes. 2 premium & 2 southern california. We go at least 2X a month with the premium & the other 2 get to go on Sundays. In the summer we go more often after work with the premiums. - Winnie111286288.7 #675 12-26-12 6:30PMLike Reply
Do not ask the price I pay for I must live with my quiet rage
Tame the ghosts in my head that run wild and wish me dead
Should you shake my ash to the wind
Lord forget all of my sins
Oh let me die where I lie 'neath the curse of my lover's eyes - Dave 8630.6 #2 12-26-12 6:46PMLike Reply
You can always ask if others can chip in and pay it for you cause you can't afford it.... - toph 2398.1 #25 12-26-12 6:53PM
Premium is the best one for Disneyland Resort ANnual Pass... Parking is included. 20% on merchandise, 15% on food :) - otilegna853.7 #106 12-26-12 6:53PMLike Reply
Also if you want to go during Christmas/New Year time period, premium is the best one... - otilegna853.7 #106 12-26-12 6:54PMLike Reply
My family of 4 all have Premium Passes. We live in NorCal and head to the parks every 4-6 weeks. We will upgrade when our passes expire even though we won't go as frequently next year. Deluxe passes don't really work for our family as school gets in the way. Good luck with your decision. - LaPearleNoir561.8 #197 12-26-12 6:59PMLike Reply
