so I have another question 4 the veterans!! u r all awesome and I have loved this site while planning my trip! so my question is about the guest assistance pass. I have sacral illeitus which results in severe back pain. I'm not able 2 stand or sit 4 long periods of time and I have 2 take pain medicine daily. my dad has a severe anxiety disorder. my question is will we both need to get a pass or will one cover our whole group? there's 10 if you count the kids who r 6,3,and two 2 yr olds. also what exactly will the GAC do? I've read several different things. some say the GAC line is longer than a regular line and some say they r a lot shorter. does anyone know? again thank u all SO much 4 the advice u have given me so far. it has been a HUGE help!
You can only get six people on an attraction with a GAC. Most if the lines are shorter. POTC is a notable exception - ScooterMike  1959.8 #37 12-31-12 11:59PM Like  Reply
So is small world. I have to get a pass because I've had 11knee surgeries and can't stand for long periods. We waited much longer in small world disabled line. And yes six is the amount per pass like ScooterMike said😃 - Tinkerbellmom4  300.3 #625 1-1-13 12:06AM
6 people per pass. Most of the times you can squeeze 7 so you'll both need a pass - Brently  233.7 #1214 1-1-13 12:24AM
I have the same pain as you :( will be bringing my own wheelchair next visit--so painful;( 6 people on the pass! - hillarygardner  18.2 #5359 1-1-13 12:29AM Like  Reply
We went last month and got a GAC because my daughter has MS and cannot stand for long periods of times. There were only 4 of us, some lines were shorter but some were about the same. For Space Mountain there was a wait but there is an area that has seating while you wait. I will say that we were questioned for the pass a little more because she is only 19 and looks healthy. I didn't mind the extra questions (since I know that there have been abuses of this pass) and we took paperwork if needed (but we didn't). We had thought of renting a wheelchair for her but with seating in some areas she was able to make it thru the day without it. - sstarlight  294.5 #656 1-1-13 12:30AM Like  Reply
You will need 2 passes for a group of that size. Sometimes the wait can be longer because they can only allow a certain number of GAC users on at a time...in case something were to happen. With some attractions like RSR you will be given a return time. Always talk to the CMs at the attractions and ask questions if you have them. - Linzee  533.4 #218 1-1-13 12:31AM Like  Reply
