I used to work at a gym and the first few days after the New Year were sooooo busy for new memberships--there was always a line at the membership desk and once you got out on the floor, you had to wait for a cardio machine and we actually had to enforce the "20 minute per machine" rule. Then, by Groundhog Day, things were back to normal--everyone burnt out. Kinda sad, but as much as we stressed that you need to start out slow and pace yourself, people didn't listen. It's important to be realistic. My health-related goal is to try not to let the number on the scale determine my success or failure in my mind. Secondly, I'm going to work on decreasing stress. Hi! I have only been on Chub33 one other time but I am back! My goal for 2013 is to get healthy, stop eating out, go to the gym 3 days a week and do some sort of exercise on the off days. I've decided to pick up running so that I can train for the Tinkerbell next year!
