Good morning! This day in Disney history, Jan. 11th, 2002. Superstar Limo, a dark ride attraction running since the opening day @ DCA closes. This had the unfortunate honor of being the first thing to close from Day 1 DCA just 11 months after it premiered. It took another 4 years for a replacement to come, that being “Monsters, Inc.: Mike and Sulley to the Rescue!” in 2006. To watch a ride thru: http://is.gd/gaZmJY Do you remember this attraction? dca 1.0 haha, prefer the monster inc but on the monster inc dvd/blu ray the monster attraction is different in disney japan u drive thru monstopolis with a flash light and look for monsters to appear kind like buzz lightyear trigger system ,in my opinion its better than superstarlimo not very disneyish.also the taxis in monsters are the same limo as memory of that locations past attraction. - pikarich  616.0 #177 1-11-13 12:13PM Like  Reply

Agreed, this was awful, but don't forget that when DCA first opened, it was built on the idea that there was to be no "Disney" connection between the two parks. Originally, it was supposed to be WESTcot, like EPCOT, which also had no Disney feel to it until recently.
