Good morning! This day in Disney history, Jan 21st 1956. The Dairy Bar in Tomorrowland, sponsored by The American Dairy Association, opens in Disneyland. From what I read, Walt needed money & the American Dairy Association stepped up to the plate. Using the slogan, “Today’s Food Builds Tomorrow’s Man,” the exhibit offered information about future farming. Before partaking in a glass of “Nature’s most nearly perfect food” at the Dairy Bar. The exhibit Closed on sept 1st 1958. Do you remember this? Do you think it fit in with the Tomorrowland theme? All photos are from the Daveland website. Thanks as always for reading!

Didn't really fit Tomorrowland's moo-d. Actually it was kinda cheesy. They must have been trying to milk it for all it was worth. - ScooterMike  1959.8 #35 1-21-13 10:55AM Like  Reply

Wow! That's way before my time. I think this takes retro to a new level. But like much of what began for Walt in Disneyland, it was experimental to a certain extent. Remember, nothing like Disneyland had been conceived at this scale. With so many new risks, there were some good and some bad attempts. Thank you again SMK for another awesome trip through the wayback machine. - MyPark  944.4 #91 1-21-13 11:18AM Like  Reply
