Hi! During the past few weeks, we've added some new members to this group, so I want to explain to them what this "land" is for and what its purpose is. This land is a private land in order to discuss and plan a MouseWait webcast/podcast show. In the beginning, Admin clearly stated that this land is NOT to be used to create and chat about gossip about other users or what is going on the Lounge and is strictly for the webcast. The webcast we are trying to create will be geared to MWers as well as the general public. It will consist of Disneyland news, events and MW meetups. Also, it will be a place where we can talk about topics, submit tips and review food, hotels, etc, and show pictures/videos of the past MW meetups. So far, SPandEvLover has decided to be the head of this group and others have said that they'd like to be a "host" on the webcast. Currently and after speaking with Admin, the majority of us have decided that the webcast is going to be a roundtable discussion that will be recorded (audio only) somewhere at the resort. While we talk about the event/news topic, we can use pictures (taken by us) and edit them in as a visual on screen. If we keep it simple to start out, it would be easier to create and distribute more shows at a good pace and if this webcast gets going, we may go all video instead of audio only. So far, we have discussed about putting out a show every other week, giving us time to prep, record and make any edits needed. If I forgot anything or have any questions/input, post below!
I forgot to add that we are trying to cover as much as the "Limited Time Magic" happenings in the park as much as we can. These events give us plenty to talk about while they are happening. Thanks for explaining for everyone :D One thing, in case people hadn't seen is that we also have the ability to tag/ move posts. I was brainstorming some quiet locations to record: the back of the Hungry Bear restaurant, the picnic area, the back at the Paradise Grill/Boardwalk pizza area or even at the Grand CA lobby. Any where else? - BaseballMickey_CM  2996.9 #15 1-22-13 11:13PM Like  Reply

I think having it in the picnic area would be a great area. I don't know how many people often show up to that area but it couldn't be many. We also wouldn't have to go through the bag check, so could possibly bring a laptop to record on. - TheNewTrent  543.9 #212 1-23-13 2:59AM

you cant take a laptop in the parks? I have seen them. What about the outside fireplace at the grand? There are several places on the grand property that look good. hereee's where i'm having a problem. how are we planning on recording at a place at the park? 4 people huddled around one microphone won't really work. there's a good chance you won't be able to hear at least two of them. i thought we were thinking of recording from our homes? if you have a skype conversation and one person records it then every person has their own microphone and can usually be heard. then the person in charge of recording is also in charge of editing then if the group wants they can meet up and record some stuff at the parks for background? or one person can. i'm just trying to figure out the logistics. - nicoleface  1329.2 #61 1-23-13 10:23PM Like  Reply

Admin mentioned that if anyone has an iPhone 5, the mics on it are pretty good. Recording over skype could work too, but I'm not sure how that works. Others can join in my recording their own piece and sending in their own pics. yeah, there are different programs that let you record skype calls on your computer. whoever uses a computer should be the one to record it so they can also edit on there. iphones aren't really conducive to editing. - nicoleface  1329.2 #61 1-23-13 11:52PM
