This is meant as a complimentary post to minnieluvs post in regards to list children . Lets turn it constructive πŸ˜ƒwhat are done of the things you do to keep your little ones safe in Disneyland or while traveling? Ill go first .. When they are little I write my cell phone number with a sharpie I their arm and put a little piece of paper in their pockets with contact info . I also make dog tags with their name, my name , address and phone number . On the other side I put the same info in the language of whatever country I am in . I think we can all learn from one another πŸ˜ƒ
I take a pic on my phone each day of each kid, so it can be easier for others to help me recognize them by the current outfit, just in case - HBurns21   209.9 #2040 1-21-13 10:21PM Like(5)  Reply
Yes ! Great ! One of the first things you are asked is what they are wearing .. I like this idea alot too! And as they get older and pick their own clothes .. Lol ! Who can keep track of what they are wearing πŸ˜‰ - eviljules  1760.1 #119 1-21-13 10:24PM
When your pass expires, punch a hole in it and hook it to your child's belt loop or somewhere on their clothes. The pass may be expired, but the information on that card is still in the Disney system. - MennisDiller   1318.5 #163 1-21-13 10:57PM Like(5)  Reply
You are just wicked smart !! Great idea ! - eviljules  1760.1 #119 1-21-13 11:24PM
Excellent idea! My brother has taught his children to not move when they get separated. If they stay right where they are they are able to backtrack and get to them as quickly as they can. - Cinderella_Schnooks   3511.8 #53 1-21-13 10:12PM Like(3)  Reply
That's what we have told our children too, and to find the nearest CM - PixiePirateMaid  355.6 #767 1-21-13 10:19PM
Thank you :) and that is a genius idea , I have to tell my kids to stay put !! - eviljules  1760.1 #119 1-21-13 10:20PM
That is also what I teach my boy. To never go looking for me, that I will find him. If he is near a store go into that store and stay near the register. - EmperorsHandLelundrial  1106.0 #207 1-22-13 2:41PM
Yes, and thank you! I learned alot of safety tips while working at the child abuse prevention center, I too write my phone number on their arms before we leave the house, take a picture a soon as we get there and have a safety plan (which got safety reasons will remain between us) , and I am very glad I have this plan in place. Today was a great reminder of how important it is. Even at Disneyland, accidents happen. ( we even have a bathroom safety plan) - minnieluv   108.8 #3652 1-21-13 10:38PM Like(1)  Reply
Thank you for addressing this very relevant topic earlier . I think we can all gain knowledge from one another 😊 - eviljules  1760.1 #119 1-21-13 10:55PM
i handcuff mine to my wrist. Lol Jk I guess I'll sit back and take notes so when I'm a baby's daddy - Hendizl   2956.8 #60 1-22-13 1:12PM Like(1)  Reply
That's not a half bad idea ! Lol ! There's times I wish I could !! Lol ! - eviljules  1760.1 #119 1-22-13 1:20PM
Children and adults should both have a place to meet at if they should happen to get lost. Also, it is helpful for kids to know to go to an employee and tell them they are lost and where they are supposed to meet. - aidensmama   340.3 #815 1-21-13 10:18PM Like  Reply
Excellent ideas too ! Thank you for sharing ! - eviljules  1760.1 #119 1-21-13 10:21PM
Very true! Hubby and I know to meet at the hub. Now that he got an iPhone he now takes his phone with him so it's easier for me to find him. LOL - Cinderella_Schnooks  3511.8 #53 1-21-13 10:30PM
When my boys were small there were no cell phones, so I'd dress them alike...then if one got lost, I'd know what he was wearing by the other one! - msdizmaui   1117.4 #203 1-22-13 12:29AM Like  Reply
That's a great idea .. I have seen entire families wearing the same color shirts, I'm sure it helps the little ones find their group - eviljules  1760.1 #119 1-22-13 12:49PM
I leave my children with EvilQueen. - DisneyFanZoe   1249.3 #170 1-22-13 1:05PM Like  Reply

I don't have children myself but I think it's good that the children know their parents' name and last name. Also a good idea to write a number on their shirt tag and make sure they know so in case they ask they could just say its there - princessb5   193.0 #2254 1-22-13 2:38PM Like  Reply
I like all the tips here. I personally would not want to put my address anywhere. I like to use my cell phone number that i know i can always be reached on. Dont want just anyone having access to my address. (I also don't include it in my luggage for similar reason. Don't want someone to rip off my home when they know I'm on vacation.) - MacaronMerida   4743.9 #39 1-22-13 2:49PM Like  Reply
