It's been awhile since we have been to the parks. We are planning on going next month! Is the Matterhorn less bumpy than before? My mother is coming with us and she was concerned. Any info is much appreciated.
Please don't be offended because I am also chubby...but StrawberryGuy once mentioned that the biggest/heaviest person in your group sit in the front to the lightest person in the back. It will help your sled go faster and seems to be a smoother ride. I'm chubby and have noticed it is a much better ride. - Armenda1116.3 #107 2-4-13 6:18PMLike(3)Reply
Ride it after running the half marathon...won't notice any additional pain 😂 - Darlingwendi897.6 #148 2-4-13 6:43PMLike(3)Reply
In my honest opinion, it's bumpier. I felt like my spine was going to shoot through my skull. - Jacqueline580.0 #265 2-4-13 6:18PMLike(1)Reply
My daughter did mention the bumpiness when she rode it today. - MeridaFan2822.1 #30 2-4-13 6:20PMLikeReply
Yeah, I rode the Matterhorn for the first time since they refurbished it a couple weeks ago. I was Not impressed. You have to have really short legs, otherwise you can't stretch them out. It was very bumpy. They should've left it with the other cars.
I'll just stick to Space Mountain!! Best ride, EVER!!!
Sorry guys, I didn't mean to be negative. - Superspacemountainfan52.4 #4119 2-4-13 8:16PMLikeReply
Since you know your mom's comfort level, you could preview the attraction and see what you think. Try both sides. Have a nice trip. - RadiatorSprings4Ever500.0 #332 2-4-13 8:51PMLikeReply
I would be very pleased if they would rethink the bobsleds. Some shock absorbers or maybe thicker pads on the seats. I have such fond memories of the Matterhorn, my Uncle used to work on it when I was a child. - Zipadeedoodah213.7 #1638 2-4-13 8:55PMLikeReply
I think I'm going to bring a sweatshirt to sit on the next time I ride it to give the seat a little more padding. Those sleds are terribly uncomfortable. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper526.2 #307 2-4-13 9:26PMLikeReply
It's just so sad. The trick is to bring a golf cushion, then pretend you're horseback riding over each bump, and remove all wedding rings and jewelry as to not crush your fingers. Next, bring a cane to pull yourself out of the seat. Nothing to it! - Alicewhoareyou789.0 #174 2-4-13 9:37PMLikeReply
We took my mother on law during thanksgiving and she's in her 60's and a Pretty sturdy lady. She didn't like it at all. Bet the crap out of her. But I love it. :) - Belleslibrary341.7 #577 2-4-13 9:50PMLikeReply
