Hellow fellow MWers! Kinda bumed because my pass expired yesterday. Wasn't able to renew right away this year, until maybe towards the end of the month or next. But before I do, I had a question for some of you MWers that are also CM's. I've been recently applying for a job at DLR. If I am offered a position, what happens to my AP? Do I loose out on what I paid for? I usually try to pay it off pretty fast so I don't have to bother with monthly payments. I just don't want to loose out on what I pay into it if I am hired. Can someone please give me some info on this? Thanks.
I would think you wouldn't consider it "losing out", but gaining the ULTIMATE pass!!! Crossing fingers and toes you get hired! Good Luck (think of me with those CM tickets you get! 😂😂) - DisneyDavidEMT   2835.9 #59 4-7-13 4:08PM Like(2)  Reply
I'm so flagging your comment! 😂😂😂😂 - Cinderella_Schnooks  3490.7 #50 4-7-13 5:07PM
LOL! Yeah, but it's not like I'm asking to get into Club 33......oh wait,...😂😂 - DisneyDavidEMT  2835.9 #59 4-7-13 7:07PM
If you use your AP and then get hired unfortunately you lose out on the rest of the time. I had an AP that I got middle of October and was hired the beginning of March. There was no way for me to get the money back for what I didn't use (I.e. monthly payments) or to transfer it to another person. If you think you might be hired, hold off on getting your AP. - IDVandalSkipperCM   2700.4 #62 4-7-13 4:02PM Like  Reply
Is that new? I had an AP the whole time I was there. (I know, I'm insane, that's a whole 'nother story). How can they do that? I don't get it. :\ - abudoggie  12.1 #10714 4-7-13 4:20PM
Well you can use the AP still, but if you're a CM it's like having a Premium AP. If you get an AP and use it then get hired and want to get money back for the AP it won't work. You'd basically have two APs. The only benefit would be getting into the AP events. - IDVandalSkipperCM  2700.4 #62 4-7-13 5:06PM
I heard Disney is cutting jobs stock news. - E-Ticket   1642.2 #122 4-7-13 4:10PM Like  Reply
I heard it was mostly at the studios but there could be more.:( - secretagentangel  11072.1 #9 4-7-13 4:17PM
It's definitely a plus do be able to work there! It's just loosing out on money that you put in it especially if its 2 premium AP's and you pay them off quickly like I do. It's just a lot of money to say "Oh well". Also, as a CM is can you go anytime you're not working or is there a limit? - DarthMickey   64.1 #4577 4-7-13 4:31PM Like  Reply
You can go using your ID pretty much any time with very rare blackouts (pirates 4 premier was the only one so far in my 2 years with the company). Sign ins are with other people and there is a limit. (P.s. I'd suggest using the reply button under the comment you're responding to so it's not as confusing!) - IDVandalSkipperCM  2700.4 #62 4-7-13 5:08PM
Depending on what job you have it may still be worth it to have an AP for times that CMs are blocked out (like holidays and high capacity times of year - at least this is what I was told by CMs who were blocked out around the opening of Cars Land, that they had to use their AP). But that is a personal decision, and one I'd have to make after my employment was confirmed, maybe I wouldn't want to be in the park on my days off, doubtful, but you never know... Lots to consider - Lola027   452.7 #546 4-7-13 4:49PM Like  Reply
That's why I still had an AP - I didn't want there to EVER be ANY day I couldn't go to the park!! Craziness. - abudoggie  12.1 #10714 4-7-13 5:19PM
Yeah, I guesd I'll have to really think about it. Thanks. - DarthMickey   64.1 #4577 4-7-13 4:56PM Like  Reply
I went through this about 2 months ago I was able to transfer my premium ap to my sister. It was already payed off. I had no problem whatsoever, just call the ap line and they'll get it covered for you.:) - TINO   379.2 #670 4-7-13 5:38PM Like  Reply
Interesting. They didn't do anything for me. Had you used the AP though? - IDVandalSkipperCM  2700.4 #62 4-7-13 5:50PM
Yes I had used it plenty of times. Once they called me back I just went to the ticket booth the next day took my pass and my DL ID and they did the transfer immediately. - TINO  379.2 #670 4-7-13 11:33PM
Hope you get hired soon! - PrincessDaisy_FU2Rcm   367.5 #696 4-7-13 6:58PM Like  Reply
