Are any of you who will be doing the 5k Saturday mostly/partially walking? My husband and I signed up 7 months ago. I'm so proud of him as he has been running ever since and lost weight and feels good. I have health issues that I thought I could push through but it just hasn't happened for me. I want to be there but part of me feels like I don't deserve it and part of me says go and do the best you can. I just don't want stand out by walking.

I think there are a few of us walking.  I am going to try a little running, but not sure I can do that either.  We will all be there motivating each other.  I know how much fun we will have, even if we don't complete it.  I am doing it, because of seeing the accomplishments on MW at the last run.  It inspired me, but I am having the same fears you are.  Lets do this!   - snowwannab  667.4 #236 8-25-13 7:37PM

I will be walking the entire thing. Between my asthma and my knee problems running is not an option. ¬†This is my first 5k and I am sure the excitement of it all will make it feel like a breeze! ¬† You should try to walk, the worst thing that can happen is you are unable to finish but at least you would have experienced some of the magic! - SBsnowwhite   493.6 #363 8-29-13 7:09PM Like  Reply
