When I was little and my parents drove to Disneyland, it was always a contest among my brothers, sister, and me to see WHO would be the first to spot the Matterhorn-- my sister and I STILL do this (and we are 58 and 59 years old 😜)! - StitchInTime 3.4 #28218 2-1-14 7:10AMLike(2)Reply
My little brothers and I did this as well...
We grew up with our parents taking us to Disneyland 2 or 3 times a year...
The closer we got to the park the game would start... And dad would alway joke about smelling pirates.. ( as everyone knows the ride has a very distinctive smell... The second you walk through those doors..)
So many wonderful beautiful family memories...
Being a single mom I raised my now 19 & 18 year old daughters the same with my brother right there with me... And we still play the same games...
Can't wait to be back in the park..
Feb 28 is coming soon... - pj-cici-pie 35.1 #4983 2-1-14 8:20AMLikeReply
My dad was 6ft 6in tall--- always had to watch his head for the fear of hitting it in some of the rides! When Pirates of the Caribbean opened for the very first time, it became his favorite ride. I can remember hanging on to him for dear life as we went down the falls AND the part where everything was 'on fire' -- I was absolutely sure that those beams were going to fall on me and my dad went right along with it ! I miss my parents so much but I love all of the wonderful memories. Disneyland was once a year, a huge treat, A-E tickets, and the best times of my life! 😁 - StitchInTime 3.4 #28218 2-1-14 11:12AMLikeReply
