I saw somewhere last night that the Halloween space mountain is pretty scary. My son just rode Space mountain for the first time on out last visit in march. Are there "pop-outs" as my son would say? The yeti turn on the Matterhorn is the reason he doesn't like that ride.
No just different music & instead of the black hole & some other stars & stuff has a kinda freaky ghost, but nothing jumps out. - GusGus776.2 #123 9-27-10 8:27AMLike Reply
There is an image of the ghost that is flashed at the end. Catches quite a few people by surprise. Just make sure he rides on the right hand side. - Coaster9122.4 #1 9-27-10 1:15PMLike Reply
There are no pop-outs, just poster images a very scary, almost demon-like ghost. I kept my hand over my daughter's eyes, didn't want her to have those images stuck in her head. Kinda scary for kids under the age of 7-8, IMHO, but all kiddos are different. - DesperateMousewife873.8 #102 9-27-10 1:40PMLike Reply
I have to agree with DMW. It is quite scary for little ones. I took my boss on it and a few of the images caused her to jump. - PieEyedMickey296.6 #626 9-27-10 1:46PMLike Reply
I used to be afraid of stuff that jumps out too. My mom would know where they would be on the rides and shed say okay cover your eyes!!!! And then shed tell me when it was gone.... Maybe if you know the ride well enough you can do the same for your little one. My mom would tell me the details of the ride so I was prepared too. As long as I knew what was going to happen I was ok. Try and ride it once without him... Test it out, then take him. Maybe a MWer can snag a single fp for you to get on and off quickly... - michelledork658.3 #157 9-27-10 1:46PMLike Reply
@ michelledork. Yeah I was thinking i should preview it. My boys are 8 & 11. But the 8 year old has no fears. It's my older one who dislikes pop-outs. Waiting in line twice wouldn't likely happen. - Mouse92im254.9 #957 9-27-10 4:28PMLike Reply
