Going to be there Monday - Wednesday. Going today after school to buy rainboots. Hoping to find a bright Disney color. But, since I live in the desert, I don't think there will be a big selection. - redrockmickey  35.0 #4173 12-14-10 10:27AM Like  Reply
I'm planning to go on Monday. It's my birthday. I'm worried about the rain too. I don't mind but I don't think my friend will like it. Will they cancel the parade, fireworks, Fantasmic, WOC? - Stripey  261.6 #901 12-14-10 10:38AM Like  Reply
From what I hear, as long as you're not needing to push a little one in a stroller or have a toddler who needs to walk around a lot, it's a great time to go! No lines! Just bring a poncho long enough to cover your behind and maybe a change of dry clothes. Plan on lots of hot cocoa stops! Although some of the attractions might be closed, like Alice in Wonderland. - Polkadobo  372.1 #371 12-14-10 10:49AM Like  Reply
Less crowds so you can get on more with less time waiting in lines - CGS1  55.3 #3652 12-14-10 10:52AM Like  Reply
@Stripey I'm going to be celebrating my Birthday on Tuesday. I know they don't cancel WOC in the rain. - NikkiMickey  1583.8 #49 12-14-10 10:58AM Like  Reply
Oh man we will have a stroller I never thought about that!!!! - McMinnie  24.0 #4742 12-14-10 11:10AM Like  Reply
Bring raingear, no lines no crowds, lov it - JimW  1072.5 #80 12-14-10 11:12AM Like  Reply
How old is your little one McMinnie? Buy some rain boots now and maybe invest in a cover for the stroller. - Polkadobo  372.1 #371 12-14-10 11:13AM Like  Reply
Well she is 5 and we always bring a triller because it's easier getting around and not losing her. ;o) but ye I will have to buy somthing to put over the stroller while we are in the lines. - McMinnie  24.0 #4742 12-14-10 11:15AM Like  Reply
Well, you won't have any problem losing her in crowds if she walks around because there probably won't be any! - Polkadobo  372.1 #371 12-14-10 11:18AM Like  Reply
Less crowded meaning lines are shorter. - SupaWoman  35.9 #4140 12-14-10 11:39AM Like  Reply
It's usually less crowded but during a holiday week it might not be. We went in November and it was dumping buckets and the waits were still really long. So around this time it's hard to say. But if you do go rain boots and panchos are your best bet. - MrsMinnie  28.9 #4431 12-14-10 1:03PM Like  Reply
@MrsMinnie - I may have been there the same time as you. I was there November 18th through the 21st, and it was absolutely pouring that Saturday morning. I didn't come prepared and found myself scrambling to 7-11 for an umbrella. I too hoped that that kind of rain would have left the park practically empty, but was surprised to find plenty of people there when I arrived. The rain boots are definitely a good idea @McMinnie because the only thing that got old after awhile was having drenched feet! Just do your best to stay dry and you'll be fine. - Disney143  255.4 #952 12-14-10 2:20PM Like  Reply
I'm going next week and it's supposed to rain all week while we are there now. What big kid rides are closed due to the rain? Would hate to miss the good rides, LOL - tigntink  179.3 #1875 12-14-10 2:29PM Like  Reply
Yeah since it's going to be christmas week I'm thinking it will be busy rain or shine! Kids are all out of school. - McMinnie  24.0 #4742 12-14-10 2:34PM Like  Reply
Hi @tigntink - When I was there the only ride they shutdown was Alice in Wonderland. - Disney143  255.4 #952 12-14-10 2:55PM Like  Reply

Disneyland always posts what tides are down - McMinnie  24.0 #4742 12-14-10 5:15PM Like  Reply
I was worried about this too. I just looked at the weather channel and it shows rain everyday we'll be there. Why do they shut down Alice? - Luckyducker  9.3 #210 12-14-10 6:47PM Like  Reply
@disney143 that is the same weekend we went. It was crazy even with all the rain. - MrsMinnie  28.9 #4431 12-14-10 7:43PM Like  Reply
I think it's kinda fun to go in the rain. And it does seem to tame some of the crowds too! - MelB  103.8 #2995 12-14-10 8:07PM Like  Reply
@Disney143, thanks for the info. I don't mind the rain but hoping rides we like to go on aren't closed. My kids would have a fit if screamin and TOT are closed. Can't forget BTMRR lol - tigntink  179.3 #1875 12-14-10 9:20PM Like  Reply
It rained for most of our trip in October, and both the Teacups and Alice were closed, but not much else.. Of course, didn't see many characters out in the rain either, though we had so much fun in the rainy park that we didn't mind! - magikkoi  153.0 #2248 12-14-10 9:29PM Like  Reply
