Even though I was still a kid when the original things were in place, I still remember them and was really upset when they changed them later. I've always thought that the political correctness and women's groups got in the way of the point that this is what pirates were actually like. You can't change history. And as a kid, I didn't know that the fat pirate was saying suggestive things - I just knew he was looking for that girl. I didn't even realize she was a teenager. Despite the fact that I loved the first Pirates movie,I liked the ride better without the movie tie ins for a couple of reasons, not the least of which is that now everyone assumes the ride was based on the movie and not the other way around. Ok seriously this is the cutest thing ever. This little boy loves the Disney band and got a trumpet for Christmas and got to play it with the band today. This really just made my day. And yes I got permission from his mom to post.
