Aw, sorry to hear! I was feeling that way for awhile, too. I'm always so jealous of the people who can just drop by the parks after work. It must really improve your quality of life! I usually just end up at Sephora or the Gap or something. Sometimes, I just have to settle for a Starbucks and InStyle magazine, lol. Not exactly the Disney magic I want after a bad day. Big hug to you! - Spoonful_O_Sugar439.1 #288 6-17-13 6:08PMLike Reply
Awww.....we all have those days. My grandma used to say you have the "mullygrubs". (My grandma was infamous for making up her own words. haha) Hope you find some sunshine in your day. Put some Disney music on...maybe that will help. - D55CR245.7 #1068 6-18-13 8:35AMLike Reply
Training for my 1/2 marathon is going well. I ran 4.9 miles this weekend, and actually felt pretty good the rest of the day. I'm actually looking forward to my next run.
Good for you! I'm trying to "run" as much as I walk (at night with the doggy), but I swear I get out of breath so easily! I can only go probably 1/4 mile before I have to stop and walk for awhile. I'm not sure if I even want to put out the effort... - msdizmaui521.5 #226 6-17-13 3:57PMLike Reply
Yay! That's great--it's so nice when it "clicks"--I'm falling into a nice training rhythm, too. For awhile, I was ravenous after my runs, but now my appetite is settling down, thank goodness! - Spoonful_O_Sugar439.1 #288 6-17-13 6:11PMLike Reply
Just made my final payment for our August trip to DL - $2295 for 5 nights at the Grand seems a little ridiculous even to me (and that's not including our new APs and airfare!). Muy expensiveoso! Thank goodness for tax refunds!
New APs! Yay! That'll be so much fun! We have stayed at the Grand twice. I love it sooooo much, but I'm not sure we will get to stay there for awhile. I need to win the lotto soon, lol. - Spoonful_O_Sugar439.1 #288 6-18-13 3:28PMLike Reply
Making my favorite casserole for my son and worried that I'll want to eat it all! The solution...use ground beef instead of turkey (I haven't eaten red meat for 20+ years!). Temptation gone! (I wish it was that easy with desserts and s More...
Brilliant idea! Let me know if you come with anything for the desserts and snacks. haha - D55CR245.7 #1068 6-17-13 11:51AMLike Reply
Make food you don't like. Such a concept. Too bad there isn't a dessert I don't like. - Mrs.mouse426.1 #304 6-17-13 9:15PMLike Reply
I will not get up and have a 3 an snack. Nope. I won't do it.
Well???? It's now almost 8am.....did you make it through the night? - D55CR245.7 #1068 6-12-13 7:50AMLike Reply
I did! I made it through the night. Woohoo! Take that cheese-it's! - Mrs.mouse426.1 #304 6-12-13 12:11PMLike Reply
Getting up in the middle of the night is one thing that I've never done (probably because I snack so much before I go to bed...I'm not hungry at 3am!). BTW - LOVE Cheez-its! - msdizmaui521.5 #226 6-16-13 10:54PMLike Reply
Wednesday's goal! Please share your goals to make it through today. My goal is to get some exercise in.
My goal is to drink two green smoothies. I had one earlier, and I think I'll try to sub a smoothie for dessert tonight. There, I posted it--now I have to do it! - Spoonful_O_Sugar439.1 #288 6-12-13 12:23PMLike Reply
Same...same.... Just exercise. Which I did a 3.87 mile hike today. That's a to total of 16 miles since Monday. Tomorrow is a 6-7 mile. - Sugarbuzz55.4 #3694 6-12-13 8:23PMLike Reply
I'm sorry I have been missing for a while. Life has gotten crazy...Mom is now in hospice care, and we are in the midst of moving my elderly in-laws here from Arizona. But I wanted to pop in because I've missed the wonderful encouragement More...
p.s. My personal trainer has me on a strict new diet for this training, and after the first week I GAINED 2lbs. But she's told me to hang in there and I'll start seeing it go down. I sure hope she is right! - D55CR245.7 #1068 6-6-13 4:37PMLike Reply
So sorry to hear about your struggles--my husband's step dad passed away recently and hospice care was really wonderful for the family. Such a tough situation, but they really do help emotionally and physically. Glad to hear that you've got a distraction and goal! Wow--WDW should be so much fun! I've never been out there! The race will be fantastic! It's nice to have something to look forward to :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar439.1 #288 6-6-13 5:09PMLike Reply
Sorry to hear about Mom. I'm glad that you have Hospice to help. I was on the Maui Hospice's Board for 8 years...I think they do such great work. My Mom is about the same but not really talking anymore. I'm going through a rough time trying to realize that there's nothing I can do to "fix" the situation. It just makes me so sad... Oh...great news with the training! I envy you! My boss did the WDW 1/2 marathon this year. She loved it! - msdizmaui521.5 #226 6-10-13 11:16PMLike Reply
Good morning everyone!! It's Monday again...sigh. I've been in such a funk. I have to snap out of it!! I have been out of control and gaining weight. My clothes are tight, I feel sluggish and bloated. ENOUGH!!! I simply must pull it toge More...
Good Morning... Sorry about the toe. Tell how you like the elliptical over time. I've been looking at one from our sporting goods store. - Sugarbuzz55.4 #3694 6-10-13 7:24AMLike Reply
All of us have those valleys, but I have no doubt you will bounce right back. Hooray for the elliptical! Get 'er done! - D55CR245.7 #1068 6-10-13 9:48AMLike Reply
You have a broken toe. I'm sure whatever it is will work itself out. You have been searching for other ways to exercise while injured. Hugs to you! - Mrs.mouse426.1 #304 6-11-13 12:45AMLike Reply
Thank you all for your support and kind words! I went to the gym this morning and did the elliptical for an hour. I don't really like the gym but it felt really good to work up a sweat. The elliptical is very easy on my toe because its like peddling. - vernswifevickie374.1 #376 6-11-13 7:08AMLike Reply
Hello...hello.... It has been a long time since I have posted. Been doing ok at this whole exercise thing. My goal is to really just have a healthier heart and bones. If weight loss comes with it, I'm ok with that. I just need to be aroun More...
That's great! Your body is thanking you. :-) I have a pair of Brooks Ravena, but am ready to get a new pair soon. I'll have to take a peek at the PureFlow2. Thanks for the tip. - D55CR245.7 #1068 6-10-13 9:45AMLike Reply
Hi everybody! Happy Saturday!! So, I went back to the doctor yesterday because my toe isn't better. Turns out it is fractured. The first doctor misread the x-ray....grrrrrr! So no running for 4 to six more weeks. I'm feeling rather lost o More...
I'm sorry to hear about your toe. I imagine its very frustrating. Most people would take this as an opportunity to not work out for 4-6 weeks. You aren't doing that. That is something to be proud of! - Mrs.mouse426.1 #304 6-8-13 10:57AMLike Reply
Oh dear. So sorry to hear. Running is so addicting, but sometimes situations like these are nature's way of helping us to refocus. There are lots of options: cycling, swimming, yoga, Pilates, etc. You've got an open mind: maybe there's a new activity out there that will bring you just as much joy--who knows, you might even make some new friends in a yoga class or by trying out a Master's swim class or something! The good news is that you have the desire and motivation to stay active. You'll be back to your old self in no time! :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar439.1 #288 6-8-13 2:28PMLike Reply
I am going to a BBQ later and girls night out. My goal is to make healthy choices. I'm starting by bringing a fruit salad to the BBQ.
Have a wonderful Saturday everyone.
Please share your goals!
Have fun with your girlfriends. I hope it is cooler there than it is here today. It's 106 today. We spent the morning at an outdoor HS graduation sitting in the sun. I swear I lost 5 lbs just in sweat! haha My goal for the rest of the day is to drink lots of water and rehydrate before my run in the morning. - D55CR245.7 #1068 6-8-13 2:43PMLike Reply

Good grief, the meals at the conference were LOADED with good looking (and smelling) grains of all kinds... but I made my goal of sticking to no grains for both days! Hope everyone else did well with their goals the last 2 days also!
Finally, got father out of hospital and into a rehabilitation center to get him mobile again last weekend. Today we had to get him transported back to hospital due to some breathing issues and some stomach pain 😔He didn't look too bad More...
I'm sorry. Nothing like illness/hospital stays that will tempt turning to food. I hope he gets out soon and recovers. - Mrs.mouse426.1 #304 6-4-13 6:46PMLike Reply
